Quite and Serene Stay- We stayed 4 days here. It was wonderful. The views we had from our balcony of the area and mountains were unbelievable. We only wished it was cold enough to utilize the fireplace in our room. Word of caution, the hot tap water is hot, hot. Our room #10 was spacious, had true vintage furniture, full...

We stayed at this historic little hotel on 4/16 and I got to say, it was a wonderful experience. We always drive by Virginia City on our way to Reno and we have always wanted to stop but you know how rocket runs are, there is never enough time to do all of the other things you want - like...

As I'm in Virginia City it seems almost every month, I think it's about time I wrote a review on my favorite place to stay there, the Gold Hill Hotel. I've stayed in most of the rooms, but the Miners Cabin is the one I choose to stay in, although it's sometimes difficult to reserve. It's so popular the cabin...

We rented the small 1 bedroom cottage and we could not have been happier. So comfortable and quiet. Got here after the office closed but the bartender was such so sweet, she took me to the office where my check-in instructions were waiting for me. Easiest check-in I've ever had. The price was great and will come back again. If...

The GoldHill really has it all, ghosts, history, a huge bathtub, great food and served by John Wayne,s former butler. It's been around even longer than Virginia City has and that's saying something! Funky, delightful, fun, great staff, charming rooms and public areas, wild horses wandering around, it's a far cry from a Marriott but then if you are looking...

I frequently stop at the Gold Hill for several reasons, either dinner in the restaurant, drinks in the bar or for a place to stay. Their restaurant has some of the best food in the area and it's anything but average. They have hotel rooms in the main building but also cabins across the street. They say the hotel is...

This hotel was built in 1865 and is full of character. All the rooms are different, with some inside, some attached and some in old mining shacks. The breakfast is OK, the best thing about it is the room you eat it in. Our room was a little small especially the bed. The heating was an oil heater, which was...

Loved the ambiance of this hotel! It was truly an experience to remember, from the Miners Cabin (first night) to hotel room #9 (second night). Miners Cabin is said to be haunted. The Cabin is roomy and full of charm. Room #9 is elegant and comfortable. The staff here were awesome! The restaurant was less than expected. I probably wouldn't...

I spent two full days and rented the shack for three nights the week before last. I had read all about it and was very excited to stay here. It was all I had hoped for and more. I stayed in one of the smaller original rooms back in 1999 and had fond memories of the entire place which has...
