Owners are super friendly, room we stayed in # 9, clean, a must for me, a little small but adequate. Great view, easy walk to downtown. No smoking rooms, for those that smoke, but right outside your room is a nice seating area with a bench and ashtray.

Cute place, needs tlc. Amazing town! Can't wait to return! Go on any tour, they're all amazing! We had wild horses by are car at sunset. Historical rooms don't have AC, but are cute! Even ran into Zak from ghost adventures, while they were filing Mackay Mansion. Everyone who lives and works here is amazing and nice!

Absolute Paranormal Investigations of Sacramento just had a marvelous stay at Michelle and Jim's motel while we investigated in Virginia City. Their staff was extremely efficient and the rooms were spotless clean. Miss Norma took fantastic care of us and our room needs. Yes, the building is older and it's historic but that added to charm. Yes, some of our...

It's been two years since we last visited wonderful Virginia City. We had scheduled a trip to the Lone Pine Film Festival and decided since we were already going to be half way there we would extend our vacation and drive on up to VC. On our last trip we stayed in the "historic" suite at the quaint Sugarloaf Mountain...

We came this August for my birthday to explore Virginia City, NV. It is very hard to find a hotel room in this touristy little town. We found the Sugarloaf Mountain Motel had one room left! We were very lucky as room 2 12 is very private, cozy and secluded. It's around the right side of the motel next to...

My husband and I booked a room at the Sugarloaf Mountain Motel for a Sunday night We had told the owner we would be there around 6 PM. Because of an 82 mile mistae we didn't arrive until 7:30 PM. The owner was very cordial and pleasant even though we were late. The room was very quaint with a quilt...

This Motel is one of the cleanest, most comfortable, homey properties we have ever stayed at. We have been taking road trips around the West and the South and South east since 1969 and stayed at many, many, many......motel/hotels. This one is number 1. The owners, Jim and Michele are helpful and kind without getting in the way. This property...

Unbelievable stay! Had high hopes for a long awaited get-away to Virginia City but the frequent encounters from the Ownership made the trip uncomfortable. Yes, the rooms were cute and “quaint” to me were very cozy and retro but as a customer to ask for a few extra towels and washcloths seemed to be an inconvenience. Privacy was an issue,...

We were in room 12, if it's available, take it. It's the 2d story suite, not much more in cost, but worth it. There is a small porch with a table and chairs that sit at the slope of the hill. It's quiet, nice breeze, and secluded. I enjoyed a nice visit with a doe (deer) one evening. Wifi in...
