My wife and I went with her mother and a friend for a 3 night stay at Montego Bay. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were excellent and very roomie, clean and luxurious.

The front desk staff was very accommodating in getting us rooms that were close to the elevator and playing floor. Last summer we stayed at the Peppermill and had to walk a country mile to get to our room (my mother-in-law uses a walker). I did fairly well on the slots, meaning over three days I came out ahead. I did nothing but lose at the Peppermill and Rainbow. But I did not when any big Jackpots and I was the only one out of the four of us to come out ahead.

The one thing that made our stay even nicer was the Comp points. They didn’t give much in terms of free play earned but the value of the Comps at the eating establishments was great. Collectively we pooled our points and didn’t pay for any meals!

Paradise Grill at Montego Bay had great food and good service. If you can appreciate a good prime rib sandwich I strongly recommend “The Conquistador”. With sautéed onion and bell peppers, Swiss cheese on toasted sourdough bread, it was one of the best meals I have ever had... tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. However, everything we ordered at Paradise Grill was great!

Before we went to Wendover we called to find out more about how they were handling the covid-19 after talking with them and found out what precautions they were taking like taking everybody's temperature as they walk through the door. When I came through the door I was over a hundred degrees so they had me stand in the foyer for a few minutes it was hot outside and I had been carrying all their luggage in after standing in the foyer for a few minutes they checked my temperature again and it was 98 Degrees. I was very happy with the room and the casino yes everybody had to wear masks in the casino and the public areas. I enjoyed the restaurants that were there Pancho and Willie's and the Romanza restaurant the food was very good. I would recommend the Montego Bay for your getaway the pool is open and it was nice to cool off in it. Thanks Glen Pace

I was impressed at how well they’re keeping the casino clean and safe for customers. The rooms were also spotless and I would recommend going. Masks are required and that’s a good thing. They have hand wipes and sanitizer available in many locations throughout the property.

Really disappointed in her stay there The rooms were lovely but they ranked of smoke coming through the ventilation on the 4th floor. The service at the front desk was less than desirable. The fire alarm went off two times in the middle of the night, and when I called the front desk they sounded clueless. I would never recommend this place the slots were really stingy as well. we also ordered towels for a room and never received them, the staff just seemed very apathetic. Super disappointing!!!

We were driving back from an emergency trip and needed an overnight stay. Upon entering the building we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke. When making our online reservation for our one night stay, we requested the "new" section as people had recommended in other reviews, and we confirmed upon check-in that we were in the "new" section. I'm not sure when they were "new" but not anytime recently...maybe 10 years ago? We were given a room with an adjoining door to another room that was unlocked. It was obvious that someone had entered the room at some point and laid on one of the beds because it had an imprint on the bed. The room was dimly lit with all of the lights on...which was probably for the best. The bathroom was in need of a deep cleaning and there was a dried contact lens on the floor from a previous guest. The toilet paper holder looked like it had not been wiped down in months it had so much dust build up on it. I just tried not to touch anything. We got up, got ready and left. I can't believe people actually stay there for more than one night. The night we arrived, we ate at the only restaurant that was open, the Paradise Grill. The server was very matter of fact and not friendly. There did not seem to be any Covid cleaning procedures or at least they were not seen being performed.

The girl who checked us in was completely ridiculous! Her nails were too long to work the screen, she was rude and rushed the entire process which took about 45 seconds. With that many rooms, you think they would take the time to ley you know where your room is. She gave no information about the hotel or casino. We were blindly guessing about everything. What restaurants were open? Were drinks being served on the floor? We were there to have a good time, not to have to try to figure out how everything worked and where it was.
I later called to ask about these problems as well as a few things that were overlooked in our room like some oil or wd-40 dripping from the door and hair in the shower and on the counter. I was then told that there are just so many restrictions because of covid. Well. I also work in hospitality and this attitude would never be tolerated. Better service is offered at budget chain hotels for pennies compared to what we paid with you. Attitude is 100% key right now in these times and if you aren't willing to treat your guests like they are top priority, then there won't be much to your future.
Then at checkout, we received the same lack of courtesy. She asked what room, we told her..she said you're good to go. I said well, actually..I paid a cash deposit and would like it back only to be told that the system was doen and we'd have to wait. With a 5 hour drive ahead after a terrible stay to begin with, this is not something anyone wants to hear. You'll have better luck staying down the road at a non resort hotel where they actually care about their guests.

Granted i went in aug 2020, it seemed the staff was still trying to adjust however they could have done a better job, other guests agreed.
They opened the pool to limited numbers, fair enough. However there was no reservation system. They only took names at 9 am and the list grew and grew. You had to call to see if it was under the amount of people permitted (i believe 20). if not, they told you to call back and check later. So basically they wait to see if anyone calls that had their name written down ahead of you. you cant make this stuff up, only in some politically incorrect joke of "how many ____ people does it take to run a swimming pool?". Heres a bright idea that saves everyone including employees a headache; just have blocks of time x amount of people put their name down for. The girl running the pool (who couldnt have been older then 25) impatiently told us the policy and explained it to us like a jail warden. the unrelated group of people i was with (woman in their 60s) all were perplexed. when we walked away and turned the corner we all spoke of how nonsensical it was the girl busted out in front of us and put her hands on her hips and said obnoxiously "is there going to be a problem". and the best part, when i politely addressed the issue with the front desk at check out and they apologized and said they are trying new things to adjust to the pandemic times, he told me to "keep checking in to the front desk in person to see when youre next on the list" because clearly, the goal is not to congregate with other guests in large crowds.
yes they apologized, though they did not adjust my rate due to not being able to use all the facilities though they said rack rates were cut a bit due to this.
The staff was on edge and testy.
the building is cosmetically kept up though showing some worn. rooms are not easy to locate with weird numbering system. long hallways, its a maze. this is supposed to be the nicest hotel in wendover.

Impressive looking from the outside, the gaming floor is very nice as well. The rooms are large and well appointed, however there are cleaning issues.
They add $10.00 to your room rate for the two 16 0r 18 ounce bottles of water and the coffee and creamer that accompanies your in room coffee pot, you pay this even if you do not use them..."non-refundable." (even if your coffee brewer does not work)
Most importantly is the staff, everyone I encountered was distant and quite clinical, I never felt like a valued customer!

Upon arrival, it was very difficult to figure out where to go once we parked in the parking garage. It is a huge resort/casino. We finally figured out where to go and the lady at the desk was very kind and told us to bring our car closer and we could valet park. They do not allow you to take your luggage to the room yourself. They stated too many people do not return the luggage carts. We had had a long day of driving and were fine with them doing that. Being tired and hungry, we were glad to get to our room. Upon entering our room it looked fabulous! Very big room and bath that was beautiful. I am very picky about how my room is so I always check the cleanliness of the sheets, duvets, etc. I pulled back the duvet and immediately saw a blood stain on the duvet and top sheet. I've worked in health care over 30 years so I knew it was a dried blood stain. I immediately called the front desk. She apologized and said someone would be there ASAP. Housekeeping and a supervisor came with new sheets. I told them no, we would prefer a different room since I did not consider the bed clean. They informed me to go to the front desk to get the room changed. My husband stayed in the room with our belongings while I went to the front desk. He later told me they tried 3 different sets of sheets on the bed before they found a decent set. We did get our room changed and all seemed well with it. This is a expensive resort/casino and I would expect better. The blood on the duvet was very evident when the sheet and duvet were turned back. The hotel apologized but did not offer a comp, free meal, nothing. If it had not been late at night we probably would have went elsewhere. Dinner at the casino was expensive and not particularly good. It took forever to get a server and it was not busy. Then the server was very rude and you could tell he did not want to do his job. The hotel over all is nice but our experience was dreadful.

Good service, large rooms, everything works great in the room. But why don’t they use fitted sheets? Flat sheets never stay tucked, and after a few turn overs, they wad up! Otherwise, great stay. Romania is a fantastic Italian restaurant, and reasonable prices when using your two for one entree coupons. However, go hungry, and try not to fill up on bread. The Paradise Grill is disappointing, although the service is fine. Food is overcooked, breads dry, and prices fairly high.
