Upon arrival, it was very difficult to figure out where to go once we parked in the parking garage. It is a huge resort/casino. We finally figured out where to go and the lady at the desk was very kind and told us to bring our car closer and we could valet park. They do not allow you to take your luggage to the room yourself. They stated too many people do not return the luggage carts. We had had a long day of driving and were fine with them doing that. Being tired and hungry, we were glad to get to our room. Upon entering our room it looked fabulous! Very big room and bath that was beautiful. I am very picky about how my room is so I always check the cleanliness of the sheets, duvets, etc. I pulled back the duvet and immediately saw a blood stain on the duvet and top sheet. I've worked in health care over 30 years so I knew it was a dried blood stain. I immediately called the front desk. She apologized and said someone would be there ASAP. Housekeeping and a supervisor came with new sheets. I told them no, we would prefer a different room since I did not consider the bed clean. They informed me to go to the front desk to get the room changed. My husband stayed in the room with our belongings while I went to the front desk. He later told me they tried 3 different sets of sheets on the bed before they found a decent set. We did get our room changed and all seemed well with it. This is a expensive resort/casino and I would expect better. The blood on the duvet was very evident when the sheet and duvet were turned back. The hotel apologized but did not offer a comp, free meal, nothing. If it had not been late at night we probably would have went elsewhere. Dinner at the casino was expensive and not particularly good. It took forever to get a server and it was not busy. Then the server was very rude and you could tell he did not want to do his job. The hotel over all is nice but our experience was dreadful.

If it was not labeled as a resort I probably would have given it a higher rating. However, as a resort with resort fees my expectations are much high and it falls short. Rooms were large and clean. Staff were ok but not the most friendly people especially on the casino floor. Pool was not inviting, was drab and definitely didn’t have a resort feel to it. No room cleaning is totally unacceptable and don’t say it’s for safety of staff since none that were cleaning rooms upon checkout weren’t wearing masks or gloves. Resorts make their customers feel pampered and have a vibe that exudes resort. Just having a casino does not make a place a resort. Far cry from being a resort

We ended up in a room in the western part of the hotel on the top floor, so we overlooked the town and also the hills to the west instead of the salt flats to the east. While the view was nice, the radiant heat off of the large windows made the room very warm. A disappointment this time was a level of cleanliness was lower than what we usually see. There were crumbs at the base of the beds, and around the window. Also, the floors in the hallways were not as clean as what we usually see. A bid disappointed also.

The hotel does not provide cleaning services for your room during your stay. We stayed 3 nights and had no cleaning services for our rooms. Hotel did not provide daily services for linens, towels, trash pick up from our room, coffee or water. You were asked to call the front desk or go by and ask for your linens or towels or anything. I don’t understand why the rates stayed the same, but no services. This is no different than a city hotel. At least come by and take the trash out of the rooms during a 3 day stay! Hello management! You are not pleasing me or my grandfather who rented to rooms for us or my mother and father who also stayed there. Without services I would classify this hotel as a 1A hotel. Won’t be coming back! Staff at hotel were very friendly. We stayed 8/27/2023 to 8/29/2023 rooms 4115 and 4118 reserved under Junior Elmer Bishop. You can reach out to us for further comments and issues by calling us at 254 826 3239.

Although the rooms are spacious they are not as clean as they appear. Let’s start our journey to the elevator which had spill stains making the floor sticky and disgusting throughout our entire stay which was three days and two nights. Upon reaching our floor we noticed the vast amount of bugs on the ceiling next to the elevator. We did notify the front desk and of course nothing was done about it. Our journey now takes us down the moth ridden hallway to our room, creating much anxiety. If the elevator and the hallway look this bad then what will the room look like. Much to my surprise the room appeared clean but had a huge moth in it, seriously has management not heard of bug spray. Trying to teach house keeping is a joke since they don’t answer the phone. I did like the fact that they had a fridge and a Keurig in the room.
The pool area is nice and the staff did a great job keeping it well stocked with fresh clean towels. I was also impressed with the lovely decor of the casino and buffet area, very classy and not ghetto like before. The buffet prices were high and if I’m paying $40 a person then I expect better food quality and more choices but the ribs and prime rib were good.
All in all we enjoyed our stay but management definitely needs pay more attention on the cleanliness of public areas. The funny thing is that there were yellow cones placed up and down the hallway on the second floor near the convention center indicating the floors had been mopped which was furthest from the truth since there was all sorts of garbage and drink spills on the floor… nice try though.

We were driving back from an emergency trip and needed an overnight stay. Upon entering the building we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke. When making our online reservation for our one night stay, we requested the "new" section as people had recommended in other reviews, and we confirmed upon check-in that we were in the "new" section. I'm not sure when they were "new" but not anytime recently...maybe 10 years ago? We were given a room with an adjoining door to another room that was unlocked. It was obvious that someone had entered the room at some point and laid on one of the beds because it had an imprint on the bed. The room was dimly lit with all of the lights on...which was probably for the best. The bathroom was in need of a deep cleaning and there was a dried contact lens on the floor from a previous guest. The toilet paper holder looked like it had not been wiped down in months it had so much dust build up on it. I just tried not to touch anything. We got up, got ready and left. I can't believe people actually stay there for more than one night. The night we arrived, we ate at the only restaurant that was open, the Paradise Grill. The server was very matter of fact and not friendly. There did not seem to be any Covid cleaning procedures or at least they were not seen being performed.

Impressive looking from the outside, the gaming floor is very nice as well. The rooms are large and well appointed, however there are cleaning issues.
They add $10.00 to your room rate for the two 16 0r 18 ounce bottles of water and the coffee and creamer that accompanies your in room coffee pot, you pay this even if you do not use them..."non-refundable." (even if your coffee brewer does not work)
Most importantly is the staff, everyone I encountered was distant and quite clinical, I never felt like a valued customer!

The food quality is below mimimum standard for fast food at Paradise Grill which midweek is your only option. The rest of the staff including waitresses are great, however food quality doesn't come close to representing their high prices. Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else.

The rooms are absolutely outrageous. They have upped the price to bet in the sports book.
Most tables are higher priced.
Drinks and food are outrageous for what you get.
It’s just not what it used to be.
You can get free rooms through the points system during the middle of the week at the other two casinos. But they don’t seem to offer you free rooms at Montego no matter how much you spend and how often you come there.
Using the slots gets you points much faster than tables or sports book. It’s unfortunate that they do not feel their sports book users and table users are worth the points.
For the money you spend you may as well go to Vegas.

I love the Montego Bay. The rooms are always clean and the front desk always tries to get me close to the elevator as it's hard for me to walk any distance.
All the staff that I've ever encountered are friendly and helpful.
I always stay here when available when I go to Wendover.
