This motel was a one night stay after a week long vacation in the area. We had to leave where we were staying and needed a place to stay for a busy Saturday night. The Villager charged the same price as the beautiful, clean, and spacious accommodations we had come from but they should not even have charged half of that. Hair and other peoples bathroom items in the bathroom… no warm blankets… poor wi-fi… small tv selection… dangerous outside child’s play area… odors galore including main office reeking of cigarettes… and the worse of it was NO BLINDS which meant no real privacy and tons of light shining into room all night long. They use clothes pins to close the curtains that they provide and the air conditioning unit was duck taped in. Thank god it was only for the night. Way way way overpriced. Also on- line when making reservation it kept flashing that this was the last available room but when we arrived… there were several available rooms. The fridge barely keeps stuff cold. And I kept cutting my foot on poking out metal from the bed frame. I will say that the staff were friendly and willing to supply us with some of the requests we made. That is not enough to ever stay there again. Never again. Bad enough that I had to write this review to save others from a horrible experience.

Avoid staying in this low-grade place. It might spoil your pleasant trip to White Mountain region... The attitude of the host (i think his name is Greg) is not acceptable! Room condition is not acceptable even for the budget motel!! Avoid at all cost....

When we booked, it was advertised that you could choose smoking or non-smoking room, that the outdoor pool was heated. We got there, the heated pool was not heated anymore and no smoking room. We were like, ok, no big deal but then we checked the sheets and they were stained. Let's just say, we left. The only thing that was right, was that they didn't charge us. It was a pain, since we had no other reservation anywhere else, but we figured it out. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. Good thing we were after Labor Day. Prior to that, we would have been out of luck to find another place.

First of all, Greg the person that run the villager is a amazing person, very friendly and catered to my friends and family. We had a great time when we stayed at the end on June and we are planning again to go next year again. In fact my nephews were there with me in June and are planning to go again in August. Greg and Christian even hosted fire works for us and put on a great show! Thank you and can't wait for next year!!!

We came for the Fourth of July with our dogs. We stayed in a deluxe room with 2 beds. It was perfect, the room had a mini fridge and a microwave. Greg was excellent, he assured us that we were safe by wearing his mask, and guests were wearing masks while checking in. On the 4th they were playing music near the office it was a great atmosphere! We played in the pool, the playground, and walked down the path to the river where the dogs and 5 year old enjoyed. They have fire pits right near each room! I will definitely be coming back!
