Room clean and recently updated, couple that owns-manages the property take pride in their motel and are good hosts. Though not fancy, we would return and in an area with few hotels this is one you should consider on location, value and cleanliness.
I needed to stay in a motel. When I pulled back the covers, I found the unpleasant surprise. There were a couple of dead bugs and debris on the sheet. I called the office and told them I found dead bugs in the bed. The managers/owners looked like they were from the Middle East and it was hard to understand their accent. They were rather dismissive of the whole thing. In trying to interpret what they were saying, I think they thought I said "bedbugs" instead of "dead bugs," They kept talking about ticks and trees and whatever. It seemed like they thought the bugs were on me and fell off me onto the bed. They did come to my room and continued to talk about ticks and trees--well, as much as I could try to figure out what they were saying. They brushed the debris on the floor, said "I'm sorry" and left the room. I paid $125.00 a night for the room. There were no comfortable chairs in the room and only a tiny shelf in the bathroom to put your toiletries.…
We booked the room because it was the only place in the area that we could find that would accept a pet and the pictures we saw online of the motel were reassuring. But when we checked in we were led to a small dark room under a set of stairs in back of the motel by the dumpsters. So if you are traveling with a dog you might want to ask not to be put in this room.
We were up in the area looking at a boat to buy and needed a place to stay last minute with a dog. We got so lucky to find this place. It was super clean, very comfortable, perfect for our golden retriever and the staff was super friendly. The only thing I missed was getting to use the pool because it looked so nice but we headed out in the morning. I highly recommend & the pizza barn down the road, great food.
This is a roadside motel. It’s clean and comfortable. Warm and cozy. I stayed here with a few friends for a weekend of snowshoeing and beer. We had a loft style room in the back with a little kitchenette. Staff was nice. Close to Hobb’s which is a benefit. As long as you properly set your expectations this is a fine stop for a night or two
We chose the Whittier because it was the lowest priced motel in the area in October. It was good for one night, but I would not want to stay long term. The room was very small, but clean. It served our purpose at the time.
Clean and quiet. Extremely clean! Staff was welcoming. It's a "no frills, no thrills" kind of place . Good value. Very basic. The pool was closed bc it was fall but looked well kept. Grounds were nicely done. We would come back.
Mt Whittier motel was perfect. Clean, comfortable, convenient and Clean! And, affordable. Who could ask for more? The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating.we were very pleased with our stay!
We decided to leave a day earlier and needed a place to stay in the area. This motel is an older style. A bit cramped by today's standards, but clean, easy to find and easy in and out. No breakfast, and finding a place was a bit difficult, but we managed.
Really nice clean place, pool was refreshing. Service was prompt and very friendly. We really had a good time in laconia, and this motelslication was perfect distance away but close to ride too. Deffinatly come back again.
