The motel is an older, independent establishment that is nicely painted but otherwise nondescript on the outside. However, the room was nicely updated, decent sized, very comfortable bed, and extremely clean. The motel sets back from a busy road, cutting down on external noise, and is only a few minutes to downtown Claremont. And the cost is as reasonable as one can find in the area. Very positive experience; would stay again if in the area.

We stayed at the Claremont motel August 13 -15 with another couple in 2 rooms. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Beds were soft, just a bit shaky when your partner moves. Plenty of fresh pillows in a variety of firmness. Clean, soft sheets.
Bathroom was clean with new tile and appointments. Recently painted. Sink is tiny especially for a taller person and no depth, so watch your head if you bend over to wash your face 🙂.
We like to be able to park right in front of our door with our classic car and this setup was as expected. There is 1 chair outside each room, which would be nice if there were 2, but 1 is better than none!
Area was clean and quiet, but they do seem to like to feed the pigeons and birds in the parking lot, which seemed a little odd to me as they could have put it on the grass area. There was also 1 picnic table on the side.
Staff was pleasant, articulate and quiet (looked liked they live onsite).
Sum it up, I would definitely stay here again for the cleanliness, location (not in town, but close enough for amenities), safe parking, peacefulness and price.

Nice retro motor lodge. Nice clean room. Would have been nice if there was a table in the room to do some writing. Walls are a little thin you can hear your neighbors at times. I read some reviews that they have continental breakfast…. They don’t. Located in a quiet part of town.

My dad and I wanted to ski at Okemo President's Day Weekend. All Airbnbs near the mountain were extremely expensive. CML was absolutely perfect for what we needed. It was about 30 min from the mountain. That may seem like a lot but for the amount of money we saved, it was worth it. Room was very clean with two big beds. TV was nice for watching basketball and mini fridge to keep sandwiches/beers cold. This place was perfect for what we were looking for and by far the cheapest option out there. Don't be deterred by the words "Motor Lodge," definitely stay here!

Picked this motel as it looked decent had some good reviews and was an OK price. I was astounded at how great this place was. Immaculately clean recently updated with new toilet that was lowflow new sink and tiles a brand new AC and good heating system. It had a couch queen sized bed a new microwave and Minifridge with a small freezer , well lit, The staff was kind and courteous, Brand new parking lot with rocking chairs outside the rooms. Two minor Drawbacks, Couch was not very comfortable and thin walls but people did observe the quiet hours. I will stay again.

The motor lodge was clean. It is not far from the highway in a quiet location and is very economical. What more could you ask for in a motor lodge! We were impressed to have a kitchen there is something to be said about direct access from the room to the car trunk. Overall an excellent stay.

Our overnight visit to Claremont included an interesting stay at the Claremont Motor Lodge. We knew it would be old by the name, but the choices were few. Old it was - though they said they had recently remodeled. I'm not sure which going out-of-business sale they acquired the furniture from - but it wasn't new!WE arrived and stood in the office waiting for someone to show up - when I began leaving they arrived to my disappointment and confirmed our reservation. The room next to us appeared to occupied by a permanent resident. The room was clean - however we don't plan to return. The Claremont Motor Lodge is not worth the money. That's it!

I had a memorial service in Claremont, NH I had to attend on 11/17/2012 and needed a room that was affordable and in or near Claremont. Unfortunately there's not many choices for lodging in the immediate area, and after reading the bad reviews about the Rodeway Inn decided I'd go with the Claremont Motor Lodge. Checked in mid-evening on 11/16 and found the customer service to be satisfactory. The outside of the motel was clean and neat. Once inside the room however I was less than impressed. The walls had been poorly patched in several spots, the ceiling was dirty and had been poorly patched up as well. The bathroom was very small and had mold in a few spots around the tub and shower. The sink was separating from the wall and the sheetrock was coming apart around it. Although overall the room seemed relatively clean and had no unpleasant odors, it could really stand a make-over. The beds were okay and I did manage to get 2 good nights of sleep. When I awoke on Saturday morning I was hoping for a cup of coffee, as the motel offers a continental breakfast. Unfortunately by 6:45 the office was still closed and I could see there was no coffee or pastries inside (the sign on the office door claims the office opens at 6:00am). Turns out there was a diner within walking distance of the motel, Joey's on the River (formerly Dimmock's) that served up a delicious breakfast and had excellent coffee.
While I wouldn't highly recommend this motel, if you're just looking for a cheap, quiet place to get some sleep, this will do in a pinch, especially if you can overlook the issues I noted. Otherwise it might be best to spend a bit more and stay just north of Claremont in W. Lebanon, or to the south in Keene, NH.

We stayed at 25 low priced, mostly locally owned and family run hotels during our most recent trip. This is one of the few I would not stay at again. The room had a strange aroma, and a very cramped bathroom. The chipping paint and poorly patched areas were quite distracting, and made me question what other shortcuts were taken. There was a sofa and coffee table in the room. The tv had 5 standard networks and lots of porn choices. The breakfast was coffee and pastry, there was no place to sit so we had to take it back to our room. I wanted tea, the hot water pot was empty so I was brought a water glassful that had been microwaved.
