I have to start with the bed. I travel for work and have slept in beds all over the world and the beds at The Fitzwilliam Inn are seriously the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I kind of just wanted to stay in bed all day! But, the delicious, home made breakfasts got me up. Fresh local yogurt, home...

We spent a weekend at the Fitzwilliam Inn in late October and had a lovely experience. The owner Chelley and her husband were as gracious and hospitable as anyone could be! The breakfast was delicious, and we loved that people who live in the small town of Fitzwilliam hang out in the bar and restaurant, and were very friendly as...

Visited this location for a weekend event. Had a great time. Wonderful antiques and crafts throughout the building. Helpful, friendly staff willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Make you feel at home. Comfortable accommodations. Loved the quilts!

Let's start with the good. The inn is in a centralized location in the area and has a small bar and restaurant on site. The room we had was large and the one night we had dinner there, the food was very good. The bad. The room we were in was in need of a good deep cleaning. It also...

I have reviewed this Inn twice before and both times gave it excellent comments, but this time I must express a level of disappointment. I called the Inn this afternoon to make a dinner reservation. I got an answering machine and was directed to leave a message with all the pertinent information and my phone number so I could get...

Please accept our apologies for the glitch in our answering system- we are working to alleviate this frustrating issue. The problem is if we are on the phone, incoming calls go right to voicemail- we have no indication that someone has called while we're talking and there is often a lag between when a call comes in and when it's...

My wife and I visited the Inn in October over Columbus Day Weekend for our wedding anniversary. The innkeepers, Chelley and Dave, were wonderful hosts, ensuring us a nice and relaxing stay. The restaurant on Sunday evening was quite good and our time visiting in the bar was memorable. Chelley and Dave were helpful in leading us to excellent hiking...

Friendly staff. Good food and drinks. Lot's of great shared spaces on the main level for meeting up after days activities in the area, games, reading, etc. Band on Saturday night in dining room was outstanding! Classic New England inn - couldn't be more satisfied.

Lovely rooms, delicious dinner. The owners were so friendly and helpful in recommendations on what to do in the area. The bar and restaurant were very quaint and offered a quiet dinner and place to have a glass of wine and relax.

This inn is in the center of Fitzwilliam. The rooms are comfortable and simple (television in the parlor, but wifi throughout), on their web site the give them names, but in the Inn they have numbers. My wife and I have been coming to this inn for many years - and she's been coming since she was a kid. She and I have seen this old inn go through many stages (and more than a few owners). The current management is doing a terrific job of running this historic landmark and classic piece of New England...
