This is a wonderful hotel. Wonderful staff (everyone). Rooms are very well appointed and clean. Nice lobby and a great breakfast each day. They were able to get me a room for 3 at 2 AM on Christmas Eve during a wide spread power outage and sub-freezing temperatures also offering early checkin. They also have a generator that services the entire hotel.
We stayed here as we were attending a concert down the road. Upon our arrival, the front desk was very friendly. Our room was clean and things were nice and quiet at night. The location was great, as we were about 7 miles from the venue. The breakfast was great, we grabbed a few things and brought them back to room. Room is set up with all you need, fridge, microwave, dishware, etc. Bed was pretty comfortable. Overall it's a great spot.
Second time staying at this location. Easy to locate and close to local events. Hotel staff was friendly, always greeted me when I entered the building. Breakfast was quick, hot and dining area very clean. The hotel was clean and very quiet
Spent 2 nights over Columbus Day weekend at this Marriott. Staff was very pleasant and hotel/room very clean. Room had a full fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, small couch, comfortable bed and was very quiet even with the hotel being full. Free breakfast both days with bacon/sausage, scrambled eggs, quiche, bagels and waffles. Hotel is about 10 minutes at most to Weirs Beach where you can hop on a scenic train, take a boat ride in the lake or walk and enjoy the views of the lake. Also very close to many good restaurants and a few apple farms. Great foliage stay this year at this Marriott.
We stayed here for one night over Labor Day weekend. The good - friendly staff and about ten mins from the Bank of NH Pavilion where we attended a concert. We arrived about an hour after the check-in time. We were offered a room on the third floor but were told it was very hot up there, or a room on the first floor, literally right around the corner from the check-in desk and lobby. I don’t sleep well in heat and figured noise shouldn’t be an issue with the room on the first floor given we’d be getting in late from a concert. They handed us our room keys and here’s where things went down hill. Upon entering the room, a disgusting smell hit us right in the face - a combination of wet dogs and cleaner, which they were clearly using to try to cover up the smell of a dog. There was no way we could stay in this room - I get migraines and am very sensitive to smells, and clearly this room needed a good deep clean. We went back to the lobby and explained to the woman at the front desk that it smelled like a wet dog in the room we were given, and politely asked if we could get a different room. She thankfully was able to find us another room on the first floor and then told us she’d “go spray the room” that we asked to move out of. I asked if this was a designated pet-friendly room and to my surprise, she told me they allow pets in every single room. So a warning to anyone sensitive to smells, or allergic to dogs/cats you may want to consider a different hotel. Spraying a room to COVER UP a scent vs. deep clean to eliminate a dog smell was a complete turn-off and makes me question their cleaning and sanitation practices. Yuck. I realize this isn’t the Ritz, but cleanliness is extremely important to me even at a two or three star hotel. We’ll for sure look at different hotels next time we are back in the area.…
A little pricey for what it is, but it was Memorial Day weekend in the New Hampshire Lakes area, hence we knew what to expect. Hotel is clean and safe and rooms are big so all good there. There was also a daily local newspaper offering, always a plus! Breakfast was fair at best, lots of prepackaged foods, not like a fresh Hampton breakfast. We had plans in Wolfeboro and could not find anything closer; at the end of the day the 35 - 40 minute ride was not so bad and it is nice to know there is a gas station and well stocked mini-market across the street from the hotel.
Very friendly and welcoming staff from check in to check out. The room was good size, very clean and provided a quiet night sleep. Located very close to the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion and easy access from the interstate. A great stay
There are some good things. It's a good location. Nice staff. Coffee 24/hrs. Clean room. A lot of topping options for your potential oatmeal or maybe cereal or yogurt. A full size fridge/freezer. A sofa. That said there were tons of things wrong. Small room. Not a lot of channels on the TV. Poorly appointed bathroom. A shower that was pretty much always either way too hot or not hot enough. They close the kitchen area so if you want to get some juice in the evening you can't. Kind of a small pool. They tell you flat out that due to covid you have to request housekeeping. Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches for breakfast (really?). I didn't love the convenience store options. A convenience store should try to have things local convenience stores don't have. Also I kinda hate it when they ask if you enjoyed your stay. Will they give me money back if I didn't? Then why are we having this conversation? Why email me a survey about it? Marriott used to be good. It should be better or at least as good as other places. It's not. Why do I have a Marriott account again?…
It is located in the Lakes Region of NH. It was easy to find. The staff was pleasant and courteous. The room was well kept and clean. But the closet was almost infuriating. It was between two parts of the room. There were two separate doors on opposite walls. When opening the doors, the first thing that hit you were the modular drawers/baskets hung on shelf-type hood/standards. To hang your clothes, you had to reach around them into the space behind the wall. Otherwise, you might be able to hang some shirts over one of the baskets. It would have been far more sensible to just put the baskets to the side, opening towards the hanging clothes. Whoever set up the closets never had to use them. The bed was comfortable and restful as usual. The breakfast was typical with hot and cold foods. And as usual, this, like all of the other Marriotts we've stayed at in the last several months, the mobile key still isn't available despite it being promoted at nearly every mobile check-in. Despite these small nuisances, it was a pleasant stay and we would stay there again.…
I used this hotel for my wedding block and they are fantastic! Very clean, the staff is so nice and accommodating and Samantha in group sales is the best! Highly recommend for a group or personal stay!!
