It is a great place to stay. But Staff which I believe to be upper management was very rude and she was always on her phone on Facebook or doing some other things on her phone. I would suggest if you go there to stay away from her she was not very nice when I asked for an extra pillow...

Start your expedition into the mountains here. You'll find gear and guides as well as others embarking on similar efforts. The evening meals have improved way beyond the former level which was hearty. Now they are even creative.

AMC's lodge is in the ideal location for hikers and skiers at the base of Mt Washington at the heart of the trail network. Tuckerman's is a short hike up the path. The staff is friendly and helpful. The evening meal is significantly improved over my last visit. As a throwback lodge (in that they aren't making them like this...

This a "modern-throwback" Dinner is served family style to long tables of 10. Multi-course with vegetarian options is ALWAYS good. You also get to meet and talk to others from near and far who at the center to hike or ski or get away in the White Mountains. In the winter there is a Wednesday evening Adventure and Dinner series,...

I have been coming up here since I was a child. I love the surrounding mountains, and I love the huts. This lodge is a great place to stay, very outdoorsy, cute and authentic. A great base for hiking nearby, and a great place to relax by a fire in a library and read if weather does not cooperate. It...

We once again stayed two nights over Thanksgiving eve and day at the lodge this week. The room was immaculate and the food wonderful and served by a very friendly staff. I have been coming to this place for decades and always enjoy the feel and tradition of the lodge. We hiked out the front door and met many guests...

Service was good and the front desk helping. I think it is a good choice to start you trip in the White mountains region. Dinner and breakfast were included, generous...

Stayed at Joe Dodge Lodge after two days of hiking in the White Mountains. Very comfortable bed and good buffet meals for dinner and breakfast. Bathroom is not in sleeping room - showers and sinks are in Men's and Women's bathrooms. Men's bathroom was very clean.
