Chose to stay here by chance while driving to see the New England fall colors. This is not your typical cookie cutter, seven flavors of vanilla big name hotel. It has an old style beauty and character that still shows its original opulence. The lobby interior, reading room and di

Hi Journey, Thank you for your nice words and for staying with us. The Eagle Mountain House as you said is definitely not a cookie cutter. At 103 years old there is plenty of charm and character. The team will be pleased to see that you felt comfortable and welcome. We hope to see you soon. Craig Boyer

The Eagle Mountain House is a bit like a throwback, with old wood trim, comfortable decor, and stylish old elevator. The rooms are comfortable, and the dining room has a wide array of local selections. The proprietors go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I've taken a

Are thinking of going for a few days in jan. 2018. Are microwave $ fridge available? Also king bed, upper floor quiet area? Thanks. M&W.
Hello, Our suites have a small refrigerator, but no rooms offer a microwave. Currently we do not have any king rooms at the Eagle Mountain House. If everything goes as scheduled we will be converting 10 rooms to kings. Hope to see you this winter, bring your winter sports gear!

Hi Steven, I also live on the Cape. Why did you give this hotel such a low grade, just one star. Is there something wrong you did not mention? Thinking of staying in Oct. 2017
I like Eagle Mt and would recommend it too. been there many times. We have Its a historic hotel and that is the charm. Lots of wood, wide hallways, radiators, an elevator with iron bar doors; a wooden bannister. Yes, the hotel restaurant has no atmosphere. Instead, try the Wildcat Tavern Inn in downtown Jackson. Very cool pub/restaurant with live music in the bar - they also have non bar sitting which is nice as well. There is another place as well to check out - the Shovel Handel Pub - that a bit outside of town, but deeper in the interior of the mountain/town. October would be a great time to visit - make a reservation and ask to be closer to on the upper floors, closer to the lobby side of the hotel. Otherwise, you'll have a long walk to less nice rooms.

I gave it four stars. Great Hotel old style pretty cool to sit on the porch. I would definitely stay, I would think there were great views of the foliage.

Hello!!! Eagle Mountain House appears to be a charming place to stay!!! I am planning a trip with family very shortly and I was wondering if the rooms have a mini fridge!!! If not, I will just bring a small cooler!!! I need to drink several bottles of water throughout the day and just would be convenient to keep them in a small fridge!!!
Our room did not have a mini fridge. I suggest calling the hotel as they may have rooms with different amenities.
