The summit resort is a great place to stay…..the employees (Karen and all the others) give their best to make your stay as comfortable (and clean) as possible…the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom condos are spacious for your stay….amenities are pools, hot tub, workout room and racketball court to name a few….close locations to restaurants, theaters, and many outdoor activities...
Better than we could have imagined. Clean spacious rooms. Immaculate bathrooms and kitchen. Pool was awesome. Loved playing racquetball, pool, and ping pong. Walked to the nearby trails to go snowshoeing. Beautiful area. Can’t wait to go back this summer. Every one at front desk was friendly, very attentive and helpful. Our new favorite vacation spot!
Lovely resort- super clean and a well set-up/stocked condo. Everything appeared to be fresh and new, as well as offered a great layout. The indoor pool and hot tub were fantastic! The only drawback for us was there was not a lot to do in the area, however this was due to the time of year. We would definitely recommend this property as a nice place to stay.
Prior to this visit we stayed at the sister resorts, mainly Center Harbor.Although the Summit and Steele Hill are nice and very clean you really can't walk to the amenities building if you have knee issues.Speaking of i had asked for a ground floor or handicapped unit twice at reservations and was assured that we would be given one or another, even called the front desk. Upon arrival we were given a unit on the second floor.Seniors bad knees lugging luggage up a flight of stairs then walking a short distance to the unit. WHEW!???. The staff we met were all very nice just would like reservations to communicate clearly. We also booked two stays at Center Harbor this winter and spring of 2023. Spoke to Reservations and requested the same reasonable request and a confirmation of our room numbers for the two stays. We have not recieved our E-Mail of confirmation yet.…
When we checked in late October, they were having technical difficulties, but they were very apologetic. We were in Unit 210. There is a no smoking policy, but the unit smelled so bad with smoke and stale odor, we had to purchase Arm & Hammer all natural cat litter deodorant, sprinkled and vacuumed on the carpet. We finally aired it out, but apparently, there is a unit in the basement that allows staff smoke in the area. We experienced staff moving out of the basement area at 2:00am and they were not quiet, backing in with a pick-up truck and hauling suitcases out. We would recommend the Prescott Farm hike, which the front desk had no knowledge of. The unit was spotless, but we could not take the smoke smell- we left 4 days early. When checking out, no one asked how the stay was, no one said thank you, and they all seemed really bothered. Would not recommend. We did leave a nice envelope for the wonderful staff that maintains/cleans the rooms. …
We stayed at the Summit this past weekend for the Sandwich Fair and it was amazing! The service was excellent and everyone was so friendly, everything was super clean and comfy, and we all had the best time!! Cannot recommend any more! Kiddos also LOVED the pool and slides!
Several restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores. About anything you need within 30 minutes or less of an easy drive. Resort had many games within walking distance. Indoor pool was great. Exercise equipment and sauna by pool.
Building 2, ground floor, 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. Very spacious & clean with a fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher & clothes washer/dryer, balcony. Since it seems to be a mostly summer resort area, there were not many guests in March & we enjoyed the quiet. We had the nice indoor pool & huge hot tub to ourselves - jets in hot tub aren't very strong, but water temp was nice. Location is nice, close to area activities, although everything was closed at this time of year. Our only dissatisfaction was with the staff. While they weren't rude, we constantly got the feeling that we were "bothering them". We arrived late, about 10pm & were checked in by an individual at the main building, who we later found out was "only a security guard" & that we arrived "after hours". We had never received any info that we needed to check in by a certain hour! The next day - as we are all sitting in our pajamas, the door to our condo opens!! They checked someone else into our room & gave them a keys! We both smiled about it, but when we went to the desk to report this, the staff acted like it was OUR fault - saying "it is not the responsibility of security to enter guests into the computer, so they had no way of knowing we were in the condo". We bluntly told them that they needed to update their system of checking guests in at night, or to advise guests to report back to the front desk in the morning! It was unbelievable that they were trying to blame US that they checked 2 guests into the same room !! Additionally, the TV in the living room did not work, & it took 2 days (2 phone calls & an additional trip to the main building) before someone finally came to fix it. We actually waited up several hours one night because we were told "they would be there as soon as they could" & we didn't want to miss them. At check out we wanted to report that the hose on the dryer that kept popping out, & 2 other minor details that we thought they should address, so that the next guest would have a nice stay - but the staff wouldn't even look at us, even though there were no other guests they were helping. As we tried to tell them about the things that needed to be fixed, they kept cutting us off, staring at computers, saying "ok thank you" before we could even finish our sentences. Again, no one was ever outright rude (in fact when the guy finally showed up to fix the tv he was very pleasant) but those who work front desk could use a few lessons in customer service & professionalism.…
We had a wonderful winter weekend away! We absolutely loved the pool area. Great for families with kids! The sauna was a great bonus for the adults. The condo had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning. Our family cannot wait to come back for another visit.
I am blown away by some of these other reviews. This resort has always been a place for families. With Fun Spot and Kellerhaus right down the road, and Weir Beach very close-by, it’s a perfect getaway for families with children. My family and I have had a timeshare at The Summit since they opened. I was about a year old, I believe and we purchased one right away. This place has been a safe haven, a second home, and now, a place to make memories with my own children. The condos are spacious and have a personal, apartment-like feel. The bedrooms are large enough for families and well kept. The bathrooms are phenomenal. The amenities building is absolutely wonderful for families with it’s large, clean pool, water slides, and hot tub. Does some of the decor need a bit of updating? Yes. Can you possibly hear children playing? Also yes. However, this is a wonderful family resort with so many more pros than cons. I am very happy I’m able to continue the tradition of yearly visits here with my family for over 40 years!…
