So let me start by complimenting the staff. They were all friendly and helpful (check in and breakfast staff.) We appreciated that we were upgraded to a nicer room and found the bed and room to be clean, comfortable and spacious. Now on to the stuff that wasn't so great. The h

SuzyB642, Thanks for your review. I really appreciate the great comments about the staff and the cleanliness of the room. Our staff works hard to try to provide the best experience to every guest. I appreciate the notes on our hot tub. We consider it to be a great amenity for our guests, particularly during winter months, and want it to work at peak performance. When it comes to kids it's really a question of timing. There are many days, particularly midweek, where the hotel is almost entirely adults. During weekends and school vacation periods our hotel is going to have lots of families staying with us and we are proud to be a family friendly hotel (the Holiday Inn name is synonymous with family vacations). In addition to the best skiing in the state, the area offers family friendly attractions like the Journey to the North Pole and Santa Express that depart from the Hobo train station next door. Ice Castles is just down the road and Santa's Village is also very popular during the holiday season. These are magical places for young kids and as often happens with young children that excitement can manifest itself in the form of noise. I appreciate that some parents should be more vigilant with supervising their kids but I also appreciate that consistently scolding your child for essentially being a child is not the way to make lasting memories for your family. For our part we monitor and disperse congregation in the halls and encourage using the pool area as a place to release extra energy. We keep extended hours of 6am-11pm for the pool area for this purpose. I think we are a great hotel for couples too (our feature suites are great for romantic getaways with gas fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs) but your review is sound warning that weekends and vacation periods are not going to be the ideal times if your looking to get away from active guests. Thanks, Brad C.

Stayed here for just one night when we took our granddaughter on the Polar Express train in Lincoln. Hotel was packed. Our room was perfect, though. Breakfast was plentiful and good. We woke up to snow in the am, but parking lot and walkways were plowed and shoveled. I would stay

bluebug66, Thank you for your review and being a wonderful grandmother to share an experience like the Polar Express (though technically I think they have to call it "Journey to the North Pole") with your granddaughter. I hope everything about the experience was magical for her. We try to do what we can to make it the best experience possible. Glad to hear you would stay with us again. Don't forget, we are close to Ice Castles as well. Thanks, Brad C.

The reason we booked this hotel was to be close to the Ice Castles. That was our sole purpose when coming to New Hampshire. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lincoln East was closest in proximity to where we wanted to be. We were pleasantly surprised how the Ice Castles was literally

The location is right at the center of White Mountain National Forest. Close to highway but no noise, a couple of minutes drive to Main Street for restaurants. The hotel has been updated with modern design, simple, clean and functional. The breakfast has lots of choices compared

sjc35, Thank you for your review. I am excited we will be your go to hotel of choice the next time you visit the area. Its great to read that some of the features of the hotel and our proximity to all the area has to offer made us an ideal location and that you were able to get a good nights rest. Our pancake maker along with our cinnamon rolls are the main attractions in our breakfast area and our very popular, especially with the kids. I am sure we will continue to provide friendly service into the future as well. Thanks, Brad C.

What is the minimum age requirement for booking/checking in? Thank you!
18 with proof of age and a credit card. I wouldn’t recommend booking a room for a party.

Do you have handicap accessible rooms? Roll in shower? Thanks for your help
Jeanne, We have two rooms in the hotel that feature a roll in shower and are accessible. Both feature one king bed. We do have a few other rooms that are also accessible but do not feature a roll in shower so please specify roll in shower when making a reservation and I would strongly recommend making a reservation directly with the hotel or IHG and not through a third party to ensure you get the correct room type.

Comment: Thank you Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lincoln staff for taking the time and effort to respond to reviewers comments personally rather than solely relying on copy and pasting prepared responses as so many hotels do as to keep a high response rate. This is a lot of extra work but it really shows the hotel goes the extra mile and cares. Great job.
Thank YOU for taking the time to share your appreciation. When I come in in the morning one of the first things I do is read what our guests have to say about their experiences with us. We try to let every guest know how much we appreciate their business both when they stay with us and when they take the time to write a review. We try to do what we can to prevent negative experiences so I hope to never read about them but we want to address those too. Everyone should know someone took the time to read what they had to say. I hope to continue to read about so many positive experiences, particularly with our amazing staff and our guests continue to write about them. Thanks, Brad Craig General Manager

Any fishing in the area?
Echo Lake in Franconia, just north of Lincoln. Russell Pond. You can also get plenty of info once you are in Lincoln. There is a great information stop right near the hotel.
