As a specialist in the adventure travel field, I've been lucky enough to travel to all 7 continents and nearly 70 countries. Part of my job is doing overseas hotel inspections and evaluating accommodations to see if they are worth recommending to our high-end clients. Had Bishop Farm been on my list, they would've gotten my stamp of approval.

Why? It's not the fanciest or most luxurious place I've ever stayed in. But I rate accommodations on a number of factors, and ambience and the level of service is where Bishop Farm ranks high. Annie, Heather and Maggie are meticulous in making sure that every aspect of your stay is top-notch.

My niece and I stayed in one of the cottages and enjoyed it very much. Cozy, yes, but great beds, high quality kitchen appliances, and we loved being able to use the ceiling fans on the warm nights and the heater on the cold nights. It's just too bad that it was too rainy to use the fire pits!

My friend's wedding was held here, and again, the Salters went above and beyond in helping with the arrangements. The newly renovated barn with its jaw-dropping chandeliers - if you don't gasp with amazement when you first walk in, you better get your pulse checked.

Since the wedding party took over the entire place for the weekend, both cottage and inn guests were served breakfast. Delicious, hot, and fresh. I would've eaten an entire spinach and feta quiche by myself, but I had to share it with everybody else, so I had to limit myself to two servings :-) I don't know how much fresher the eggs can be if they weren't freshly plucked from the hens themselves 3 hours prior!

Heather, Annie and Maggie - your blood, sweat and tears are evident throughout the whole property. Well done.

I just returned from a three night stay to attend a friend's very unconventional wedding at this lovely B&B. The Salter family went above and beyond their duties to provide a memorable stay for the friends and family of the wedding party. Any issues were met with a smile and a unique solution whether it was rain on the wedding day, decorating that gorgeous barn with those spectacular chandaliers, scrambling to make room to accommadate unusual requests.

We stayed at one of the cottages which was extremely comfortable - yes the bathrooms were small but the charm and comfort of the cottage overrode that inconvenience. I was grateful for the small kitchen to make snacks and lunches for my picky family. If you want to grab a great breakfast, head over to Polly's Pancake House for a filling and delicious breakfast but you might be lucky enough to score a great breakfast over at the inn if your wedding party has rented out the place for the weekend - we had the best of both.

The grounds were beautiful and once the barn was decorated - every pretty Pinterest picture of a barn wedding came to mind...

Annie, Heather and Maggie were gracious and welcoming and provided the perfect combination of offering their services and allowing us to enjoy the property on our own.

As for the occasional ladybug that landed in our room, well - this is New Hampshire which is full of beautiful nature. If a ladybug ruined your stay, perhaps you'd be better off in the nondescript and boring Hampton Inn down the road.

This review is a little delayed to say the least but I really still want to recommend a fantastic b&b .We stayed here in nov 2005 when the b&b had only recently opened, so hopefully lots of other people had a great experience since.

During our stay we were the only guests and were given the mount washington suite rather than the standard room we had booked as it was available, which we thought was a lovely gesture. as were the homemade cookies you receive on arrival. The inn keepers were so welcoming and friendly but respectful of your privacy as guests too.

We met most of the innkeepers during our stay and found them to be really lovely and genuine. They were also very helpful, finding out information on attraction opening times (we were there out of season and in unexpected snow) and recommending somewhere locally to eat.

The accommodation is tasteful and comfortable and the building has been rennovated beautifully. There is also a comfortable lounge and a welcoming fire. Also despite its rural location there is internet access. We usually stay in hotels and in accommodation of a high standard and were definitely not disappointed with bishops farm, calling it a b&b didn't do it justice in our opinion.

And on the subject of breakfast it was absolutely delicious and plenty of it.

Overall highly recommended and if we were ever in the area again it would be top of our list of where to stay.

A little note : a car is essential

Our daughter was married at Bishop Farm in May 2014. The Salter Family could not have been more gracious. The entire wedding party stayed on the grounds and any and everything that was needed just magically happened. We plan to have a family reunion there in the next few years. The beds were amazing whether in the house or the cabins. The grounds were gorgeous. The Barn was the making of fantasies. It was the wedding of my daughter's dreams. Our guests are still commenting how pleased they were to have experienced Bishop Farm and the Salter Family- Maggie, Heather and Annie.

Heather, Annie and Maggie Salter are an amazing trio! The moment we met Annie in January we knew we wanted to get married at Bishop Farm in July - even though we didn't see it without snow until May! The barn is beautiful, truly the epitome of rustic chic with the chandeliers, wood beams, sheer curtains and high ceilings. There are so many fun decorations to utilize as well as details that are permanently in the barn - and the bathrooms are amazing, which was a very important part of the puzzle as we looked at venues - especially barns! The variety of location options for the ceremony were fun, and there was always a back-up plan in case of rain.
I think being able to utilize so many different spaces made the evening feel like there were distinct "acts" although everything was right there on the property. Space for lawn games and fire pits for s'more roasting were additional fun touches.
Being able to have the wedding party and family stay on property made it that much easier to do the set-up and final details leading up to the ceremony (and then sadly pack up following brunch on site the next day). It was also very important that we were the only wedding at our venue for the entire weekend so could fully utilize the space and enjoy our time - making it our own.
Heather and Annie are very responsive through all the planning and kept us organized with monthly conference calls. The day of, they kept us on schedule and organized, always with a smile. Maggie is such a joy to have around and the amount of work she does - from making us breakfast, to driving us around in the golf cart for the ceremony to sewing my friend's pants when he split them on the dance floor! Our guests were delighted that the Salters felt like part of the party while "working", and we were so grateful for that. My only complaint is that the day flew by!! We want to do it again. We will be back to stay at the B&B next year when it's not a wedding party weekend :-)

The Salters do rock, as stated in the review below. My wife and I stayed at Bishop Farm B and B last week. 2 night stay. It was absolutely amazing. Hospitality was great, the grounds of the property beautiful. Everything we asked for was provided.

Being in the hospitality business you tend to appreciate when other owners/operators take great care and pride in the guest stay. We will be back!!!!!!

This was our first experience staying at a B+B. Being a little shy we chose to stay in one of their cottages. Fantastic! Clean and comfortable. A well equipped kitchenette, TV, picnic table, chairs, and fire pit rounded out our stay. We brought a well stocked cooler and lived like kings!
No question, would stay again. EM

In a recent trip to the New England states we had decided to stay at as many B &B's as possible. Some rooms were small and dark, some made you feel like you had to stay in you room and some wouldn't allow you to take drinks to your room. None of this was true at Bishop farm B & B. You were welcome anywhere and Annie, Maggie and Heather were the most gracious hosts I have every encountered. Our room was Mt Pierce with the most comfortable king bed ever and a private bath. Even tho our room was bright and cheery you didn't want to stay in your room because you might miss something that was going on downstairs. We enjoyed talking with the Salaters about the purchase of the farm and all of the renovations they have made. We got a tour of the barn which is breathtaking with it's beautiful chandeliers. They have many weddings there and the barn is a perfect place to have a reception. Since we live in California it is doubtful if we will get there again but ever morning I think about them as I drink my coffee from the mug I got there. I highly recommend Bishop Farm B & B. It is a must in your travels

My husband and I just spent two nights at the Bishop Farm B&B. We'd never been there before but it offered the amenities that we prefer (suite - Mt. Washington Suite, king-sized bed, TV) and it had great reviews. Maggie and her daughter, Annie, were wonderful hosts (very friendly and helpful). They left us alone but were right there when we needed them. The other quests were respectful and quiet and we enjoyed our conversation with them over our delicious breakfasts. We loved waking up each morning to a rooster "tooting its horn" in the backyard, something I'd never experienced before. It's unlikely that we'll return to this place but it's totally because of the location, not the B&B. Nearby Littleton, NH, while a "larger town," has some interesting shops but limited (and very crowded!) restaurants.

We went to N.H for our 10 year wedding anniversary and couldnt have been more pleased with our choice to stay here! Annie and Maggie (even the dog "Martha") were so sweet! When we came downstairs for breakfast, it was like we were at our grandparents house. They welcome you into the kitchen and make sure you always have a full cup of coffee. We liked being suprised by the menu every day. Also, we were invited to come outside to the firepit and hang out. Even though all of us were strangers, the mood/setting were so comfortable that we talked and laughed for hours. The inn was fully booked BUT when a man came last minute and asked to stay...Annie set up a place for him to stay on a pullout couch! What hospitality!! The rooms are so cute and very cozy. The porch has wonderful views of the forest. There are 2 little town centers (one to the left and one to the right) that you can go to for dinner. Annie will tell you all about the restaurants and things to do in the area. We can not wait to go back next year! Thanks!!
