We spent 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The Inn was the perfect base for us to visit the area. Close to everything but in a quiet place. We stayed in the Sunapee Room but for sure every room is just as comfy and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the room has a big window with a...

My wife and I stayed at the Ballard House for our first New Hampshire fall getaway. I firmly agree with other reviewers that innkeepers Brian and Lynn (and Newton) are fantastic hosts. Both went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent stay. We stayed for two nights, arrived early evening and were barely there for 30 minutes...

One of the favorite parts of our job is helping folks enjoy their Lakes Region visit. We remember places we have travelled to and recall those that helped us enjoy our stay and want to do the same for our guests! When you return, Brian promises more Snapple cap trivia!

Stay here! Our first B & B experience was outstanding. The Ballard House Inn had a fine mix of regional flavor and modern convenience. Our room had an electric fire place and a great view of the lake (same as the back porch picture on here). Brian and Lynn are informative, will make suggestions for things to do in the...

We had a 3 night stay at Ballard House Inn in early October, and could not have wished for a better inn. Brian and Lynn were amazing hosts and went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. Breakfasts were delicious, afternoon cookies and a fridge with wine, and soft drinks to help yourself. The inn was spotless and...

We spent a two night getaway at the Ballard House and couldn't have made a better choice. The inn itself is beautifully restored and maintained. The rooms are quiet, nicely furnished, well decorated and immaculate. Gourmet breakfasts with items such as spinach, caramelized onion and gruyere strata, caramelized bacon, sausage, french toast, baked cinnamon apples, etc. made the mornings truly...

We really enjoy our guests, it is the best part of the job getting to know people and help them enjoy their stay, and we are glad it showed during your stay. As fellow Granite Staters, people from New Hampshire are always gracious and fun guests. Please come back again to visit us and our miniature horse!

Our stay two weekends ago at the Ballard House Inn was just perfect--we've been to numerous bed and breakfasts before, but none like this. What distinguishes the Ballard House is her hosts. Lynn and Brian are so warm and welcoming! And, the atmosphere they set seems to be contagious among the guests--we found ourselves chatting, laughing and sharing stories with...

Brian & Lynn were wonderful hosts. The property was immaculately clean and breakfast was delicious. More importantly, they truly wanted us to enjoy everything their home had to offer. I enjoy the many conversations I had with Brian as well as the spectacular view.

We appreciate the time you took to write such a candid review about our Inn. You are spot on, an inn is bricks and mortar, it is the people who run it that make the difference.
