Been wanting to stay here for a while. Looks great from the outside and is in a good location for a lovely area of NH. Front desk person was the only staff member I encountered during my overnight stay and she was friendly and helpful. My suite was very large, very clean and neat but disappointing. I was underwhelmed by the furnishings. The furniture in the suite was old and dated. The lobby was fairly nice. This hotel has possibilities but does need to be upgraded in order to deserve the high season prices they charge. I was staying during off peak, it was not busy so the place was quiet.

Hotel's Favourite
We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the suit and the 2 rooms. Lots of room for a larger family that can sleep 4 comfortably and 5 if the 5th sleeps on the couch. The hotel itself was clean and met all our needs. A small breackfast is offered as well that was more than sufficient. Only issues we had were that teh window shades let in way too much light which got us up as soon as the sun came out. Also, one of the 2 rooms does not have a door so ther eis NO privacy for those who will be sleeping in that room. If you have 2 couples sharing this suit, it could get awkward. Regadless, highly recommend this place for any time of the year for a family that doesnt mind no door to the one room.

Mountain Edge was a wonderful place to stay fir a family vacation. We were welcomed as we arrived and made to feel welcome starting with a gift bag of waters and popcorn and a smiling friendly man at the front desk. We found the room comfy and spacious and loved the fireplace. The pool was clean and warm and we had a hot tub too. The next morning we enjoyed a very nice breakfast in the lobby with great coffee and many choices of pastries and fruits to choose from. This was a great experience and we will be back to Mountain Edge soon.

We loved this place!! The staff was so nice to us and willing to work with us after some travel mishaps. The place was spotless... and I have awful allergies so normally any place with dirty heating cents will be an issue. But everything was clean, smelled great. The rooms were gigantic and very nice with balconies and fireplaces. The pool and got tub looked nice and there was a big spa. We will definitely come back! I hope the hotel does well and can replace some of the beds and there might have been something going on with hot water. The hotel is clearly well loved and cared for, so comfortable and welcoming . I really wanted to stay longer and will do so in the future and very excited to see what the competent and caring new ownership does. Just hope we can all afford it in the future. Book directly to the hotel and definitely ask about veterans discounts too. Love this place!

This is a lovely resort right next door to Mount Sunapee skiing and town beach. Very, very clean. It feels very peaceful and welcoming as you walk into the beautiful lobby, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. the suites were beautiful and comfortable furniture and lots of light coming in through the windows. The beds were comfy and linens were very clean. The continental breakfast was the best ever with a very large assortment of foods and coffee ready at 7:30 ( although we would still rather have a pot in the unit). The kitchen was basic with a nice full sized refrigerator and minimal cooking utensils/dishware. Stovetop and toaster/dishwasher. It was a freezing weekend with minus degree temperatures outside but it was warm in the suite. Actually too warm and we could not put the fireplace on as it was tropical after a while. The two downstairs units had huge, clean showers/tub with lots of hot water but the upstairs loft shower had no hot water. The pool was wonderful and very clean and well maintained. The warm smaller pool was the best ever after a long cold day on the slopes. we were very disappointed that the restaurant/bar was not open and won't be in the future, as of now. It is a beautiful restaurant and such a waste to not be used. So unless you are cooking in, you have to go out to eat. The Old Salt Pub is right across the street and we strongly recommend Appleseeds down the street about 10 minutes. We would definitely return to stay next winter> We left feeling that this resort is a hidden gem with great potential that is NOT being utilized. If you want the full package its not here unless the management gets it running up to speed, with opening the restaurant, bar, pub, sauna and return shuttles to and from the mountain. Guests will be standing in line to book!

This is a great place to stay and is coming back from the damage done to the industry by the pandemic, which put too many businesses out of business. The restaurant and spa are still suffering and are not open again yet. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help.

We got a two bedroom suite. The king bed was one of the most comfortable ever, with a three inch thick pillowtop that was almost like a foam mattress, soft enough to sink into but with plenty of support underneath. The sheets were very smooth and the four pillows very supportive. Slept great. The queen bed in the second bedroom wasn't nearly as good, but was plenty good for our daughter . The living room had a leather couch (very supportive) and an easy chair (too soft). The flatscreen TV is above the gas fireplace, so fairly high on the wall, with a fairly limited selection of channels (about 20). There are sliding glass doors to a small patio with seats. Our room looked out toward Lake Sunapee, just 100 yards away. The large bathroom had a tub/shower with one of those annoying water-saving spray nozzles, but had plenty of pressure and hot water. There was a nice long counter with a single sink and some amenities. You can turn on one light without turning on the fan. The kitchenette is small, with no oven or toaster oven. It has a two burner cooktop, a microwave, and a dishwasher. There are plenty of dishes, glasses and utensils, but very limited cookware. I wouldn't want to have to cook here for a week, but for a weekend, or just breakfast and snacks, it is fine. There are two benches and a table in the main hallway, which serves as the dining room table. It is a narrow, curved table, to match one of the benches. Again, this is not a good setup for much more than breakfast or a snack. There is an indoor pool and a warmer soaking pool. They have a free continental breakfast with a few pastries, drinks, fruit, etc. I was surprised since the rooms have kitchenettes. There is parking on two levels so most of the rooms can be reached without stairs. We didn't go to the restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants within a couple miles, and one right across the street. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a great place, as cheap as hotels but with much more space and a kitchenette to keep down meal costs.

Clean, friendly, safe. You're only 20 minutes away from everything. It's quiet. The breakfast muffins are to die for. Front desk staff were great. On site restaurant was great. Didn't have time to swim. Beds were a tad on the hard side, but that's me. Dont bother using the provided soap/shampoo/lotion dispenser, couldn't get ours to work. We brought a small fan with us to help cool the room at night. Walk to a restaurant across the street or to the lake with a beach.

My wife and I managed to sneak away for a couple days to celebrate our anniversary and wanted someplace quiet and comfortable. The Mountain Edge Resort fit the bill perfectly and the staff was wonderfully attentive to all our needs. It was just the two of us this time, but the suites are perfect for families, offering plenty of space and privacy. I'm sure we will be going back.

Plenty of room. We had two bedroom, two bath loft suite. Kitchen is nice to have coffee and breakfast. Gas fire place makes it cozy. Rooms are basic but clean. Restaurants bar cozy chalet atmosphere with unfortunately horrible food. Service was good but we would try the restaurants across the street if we return.
