The campground is clean, showers were below average clean and 2.50 for :06. The campground host needs to be friendlier especially since he's gouging campers at 7.00 for a Sm. bundle of fire wood. We would go back even though the host was not friendly. The area has some of the best trails in the NorthEast. I also believe that...

Great campground on the Kancamagus highway! Twelve miles up from conway, convenient to everything. Feels like you are isolated in the woods, but you can still venture into town to be greeted by an array of food, entertainment, and utility options. Arrive early to get a site on the weekends - fills up quickly, and we could see why. The...

We chanced upon Jigger Johnson last week when we couldn't get our RV across the covered bridge to the Covered Bridge Campsite (though there is an alternative route for tall vehicles). What a find though - it's idyllic in location, with tall aromatic pines, generous plots and privacy. A short walk along a track takes you to a shallow, slow...

This was our first time camping in white mountain national forest. Jigger Johnson fitted our search as it has flush toilets and shower (metered $2.50) which helps us with our kids from 4-7 yrs old. We stayed here for a 5 days. Gary the host and his staff is very welcoming and friendly. We observed some issue with flush toilet...

Every fall, We stop for a week coming and going to Canada. We have never been in a more beautiful campground. The Hosts are super friendly and helpful. They keep the grounds immaculate. The sites are spacious and rustic, surrounded with tall pines. Flush toilets are a plus. Firewood is available at host sites. The paths to the river are...

I had been a while since we had camped but we met our son and family here, they had an RV and we had a pickup truck tent. This campground is a first come first serve, no reservation. It is cash only and it is better if you have exact change, $22.00. You fill out an envelope w site number...

I went in July 2013 with my daughter to just go on an adventure. We showed up around dusk and were a little concerned about trying a new campground, knowing there were no reservations just first come first served. We found one (totally perfect) empty campsite, pulled in and asked a nice couple who happened to be going by on...

I was introduced to jigger johnsons about 11 years ago. My husband and daughter and I start getting excited months before we go. It's relaxing, clean, and so much fun. Over the years we have noticed the manager getting increasingly edgy. We were so pleased to meet the new manager! He is so friendly, helpful, and just plain nice. Everyone this year...

Stayed here this past weekend after researching comments and books on best campgrounds. I was quite impressed on the cleanliness of the restrooms, roomy campsites, low mosquito population. I would have given a excellent rating but the posted Quiet Hours 10-6 was not enforced by the Hosts in each camping area. I had a host site adjacent to mine and...

Stayed here for the first time ever this past weekend after a day hiking. We weren't sure we'd find any open sights on 4th of July weekend, but they had plenty. The sights were spacious and clean, the showers were also very clean. You can walk right down to the Swift river from the campground. Our only complaint would be that...
