Have been there 5 times before, however communication not good between us as guests and staff. Did not receive housekeeping services at all during stay. Told gentleman manning desk after first day, he apologized. On second day, saw a housekeeping woman, two doors down from mine, told her we had not had service day before, would appreciate it today, she said ok. When we got back, room not done. When checking out, told my story, that is when I was told housekeeping was not done except for room turn over. Told her it would not have been a big deal, if it had been communicated before hand. And why did the two staffers I talked to not tell me? No answer.

I had my wedding there recently and the venue was beautiful. The scenery and the gardens are so pretty and perfect for pictures. But the best part was the staff/owners. We had an issue with my flowers (the bouquet) and without any hesitation, the owner asked if she could help. She took the initiative and went and picked flowers from the grounds and wrapped it up for me. And even made a smaller one for my daughter. Hannah was amazing too. The wedding went off without a hitch (thanks to those two!) And I couldn't have been happier with the service and the food. The food was delicious also. I couldn't have had a better experience anywhere else! Thank you so much!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We deeply regret to hear that your experience did not match your expectations, especially regarding the room assignment and the cleanliness of our facility. It's vital to us that our guests feel valued and receive the accommodations they reserve. I sincerely apologize for the oversight and discomfort you experienced in being placed in a room that did not meet your initial booking preference. Your observations about the stair rug are equally concerning. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and it seems we missed the mark in this regard. Rest assured, we will immediately address this with our housekeeping team to ensure such oversights do not happen in the future.

I’ve stayed the manor many occasions . Had a minor dispute about 10 years back. Stayed one night in feb 2023 , along with the other visit sooo good , hence 5 stars . But just called them few days back and it has new owner and at least one staff member retired. Now what I’m seriously not happy about , prices gone through the roof an no consideration for returners .so no more for sadly.

I was a little nervous about my wedding with new owners. But I can not express enough how amazing Teresa was. My guests specifically said they were amazed at her attentiveness. I had no worries on my wedding day because of her, and I could just focus on all of those wonderful memories that we were making. The food was out of this world. We had prime rib, crab encrusted cod. And the hors d'oeuvres were incredible. My favorite were the mini crab cakes. Teresa was born to be a wedding planner. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for helping to make such a beautiful day... amidst hurricane winds, lol. Bravo!!!

Our first time here and the foo and location is great. Accommodations include breakfast and dinner and the menu has lots of choices. If you go away hungry it’s your own fault. Will definitely return again. The grounds are very nice and the pool and hot tub are an added bonus.

We’ve wanted to stay here for a long time and are very disappointed with our stay. The room was much smaller than we thought it would be. I should have noticed the 189 sq. Ft when I booked it but at least we had a nice screened in balcony. The room decor could use some refreshing…the door to the room wouldn’t stay closed unless we locked it and the jets on the jacuzzi in the bathroom didn’t work at all. We did enjoy our cocktails in the Library lounge and the bartender was great. We also enjoyed our dinner in The Wild Rose Restaurant. Sarah was a great waitress. We weren’t happy that the front desk called our room at 10:15 with a question about our dinner tab total that could have waited until checkout as we were both asleep. We were awoken at 6:30 by a delivery truck’s backup horns followed by the garbage trucks. Not a very peaceful morning… Went down for coffee at 6:40 (we were told coffee would be available at 6:30), waited until 6:50 but still no coffee. A small coffeemaker in the room would be a plus. The property grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Overall it could have been a better experience.

The location is amazing but the property is VERY tired., the rooms are practically nothing by nothing in size and do not meet cleanliness criteria of this century. If it wasn't for the very reasonable package price that includes a decent breakfast and dinner, I can't imagine the place would survive in this competitive market. But it's potential is excellent IF someone will invest to upgrade it.

Book your room for the “cool factor” but stay for every other reason. The history of this property is pretty cool, and I think still carries over to the feeling you get when staying here. It is a transformative experience. I look around and can’t help but wonder what the property must have been like as a home. And then I realize I feel like I’m staying at my friend’s house. My friend’s beautiful, historic mansion with a full staff of wonderful people. Booking a room includes breakfast and dinner, which is impressive. I’m glad, because if I stayed somewhere else, I’ll never think of dining in the restaurant. And I’d never know what I was missing. I’ve stayed at Stonehurst three nights so far, and the dinners I have had have all been amazing. Perfect in everything about them. The service, the food quality, the dish flavor, the wine list, and the breakfasts are delicious, too. The rooms are really nice, too. It’s an older property, which I would take any day over a big chain. The manor has a definite culture and vibe I LOVE. Dark woods, architectural details. Fantastic. And to top it all off, the staff are wonderful. Friendly, professional and personable. This has been the only place I have stayed in North Conway and now I can’t imagine staying any place else. But seriously, even if you aren’t staying here, you need to have a cocktail in the lounge and move over to dinner. But let’s be honest, you need to stay there. Enjoy the grounds. Enjoy the view. Enjoy everything.
