As an older hotel some rooms are a little weary but the bar/lounge area and the food in the restaurant more than make up for this. Extremely cozy on a winter night when you really don'y want to be outside. Huge fireplace - great bar - good times.

Can't beat the prices and the quality of food is fine. The room is a little small and very warm, but adequate. the service is top notch. This is our second time here and plan on another visit. The views from some rooms are awesome.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review of your recent stay with us. We certainly are an Historic Boutique Hotel with much charm and character and not a new modern hotel. We were built in 1876 as a summer home for the Bigelow carpet family. Maintaining this beautiful manor is certainly a daily love in labor that we are thrilled to share with everyone. We do have a total of 26 guests room--16 in the main house and 10 in the motel section. Whenever you stay with us, your rates always include both dinner and breakfast so definitely a wonderful value whichever room you choose.

The pet friendly rooms are very noisy and the walls are paper thin. The comforter smelled like dirty dog they need to be washed every time there is a new guest coming which was not done for our stay. The overall manor is nice and staff are very friendly, food is average for

Stayed here in ‘79 when we were a young couple. Loved it then and the Manor still retains it’s charm. Prices have changed from’79 but the value has not changed at all. We didn’t take advantage of the cross-country ski trails on this visit but there will be more trips to North

Are cats allowed?
I'm pretty sure, no though it's worth calling and inquiring about. I think I saw that dogs are welcome.

Yes, a few are accessible. Pool is closed. Avoid rooms in back unless you are bringing a pet. They are basic rooms.

Which room, 6-10, offers the most privacy or is at the end of the wing?
There would not be any that offer exceptional privitcy,I would stay in the lowest number available just for convenience. Enjoy your stay.

I would assume that having ice makers on all floors would impact the ambiance of the manor. I would request that an ice bucket be filled upon your arrival and the rest be in you.
