This motel is great friendly famiy run place,. It is centrally located. The rooms are clean. Beds are extremely comfortable -top notch. The bathroom is basic but very clean. If you stay in screened porch rooms its an added bonus to be able to sit and watch the sunrise and sunset over the mountains. We have also stayed in the lower room in the back they seem quieter and have outdoor seating outside your room. Close to tons of great restaurants. Why pay triple the money for resort when this place has all you need. In the summer there is a nice outdoor pool area. Honestly can't wait to go back.
Every year we stay here at the Briarcliff for our shopping weekend. Ila is always fantastic to work with. She remembers us every year. We have stayed in many different rooms but they have all been great. We love what she has done for upgrades through the years. This year we stayed in one of the rooms that has the balcony looking out to the pool area and it was awesome. Very spacious, comfortable beds and easy access to our family in the next room over. We will continue to stay here every year. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants and of course, coffee :) We usually only stay in the winter months for Christmas shopping but I'm sure it will be on our list of places to stay if we decide to travel during the summer months
We stayed here on our trip thru New England on our motorcycle. Very fast and friendly service at check in, room was nice and clean and ready for us when we arrived. Staff was very attentive, and cared for their guests. Bed was large and comfortable. We did not need anything, but the gentleman a few doors down, did, and staff was there to help him immediately. I will definitely stay here again, when I am in the area.
Rooms are reasonable size but are very outdated: no key cards, doors don't click in place, no room thermostat, old furniture that does not look clean, carpet that feels sticky, poor lighting all around, hot water running from the cold water spout, shampoo packs that are not pre-cut to open and need scissors, creaky bathtub floor, USB outlets that don't work, WiFi that was down, and the list goes on and on. For $250 a night aftet tax, I expect a lot more even in peak season.
After the year 2020 has been we needed a get away. Been coming here for 21 yrs and it just keeps getting better. Rooms are being updated and renovated. They are Covid compliant. Place is clean-comfortable-and relaxing. Close to town and other amenities - shopping-restaurants ect... Recommend staying here when in the area
