The hotel is gem in North Conway! This is our first time staying here during bike week eek and won’t be the last. Between the friendly service at check in from Talita to the clean rooms and well maintained property this hotel is going to be my number one go to for this area! Can’t wait to come back with my dog!

We chose the Green Granite Inn because it is pet-friendly and were delighted. Our room included a somewhat meager continental breakfast of packaged pastries but Starbucks coffee was available 24-7. The staff is friendly and the lobby is decorated with a 1926 Ford, and a taxidermied bear, wolf skin and other critters. We would highly recommend for a night's stay.

We stayed here nine years ago and loved it. This year, not so much. On the plus side the lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. On the negative side, the TV was not user friendly, hence the helpfulness of the lady who checked us in. Even then the quality of the picture was poor, being too dark and no way to adjust the brightness. Lastly, when you pay $106 you would expect to find a fridge or microwave in the room. There was neither. The place is also showing its age. We won't be back.

This property has seen better days. The rooms need new paint, carpet, and at least a good topper put on the beds. The front desk staff is pleasant and they try to help with what is possible given their constraints. Housekeeping is fair, wear slippers as I think the vacuums are as dated as the paint. However, it is a good starting point for seeing the local area.

It was our 6th time in this hotel, I booked with hotel.com. we got there after 10 pm, to get our 2 ''very simple '' rooms. The rooms were small, super old and needed renovation, smelly, no fridge and no microwave. I went to the reception and asked to changed our rooms she said they can't because the hotel was fully booked (but it wasn't ) and because I booked with hotel.con they can not changed our booking. After telling her I will not stay with my kids in this room, and I will go find a different hotel , she managed to find me a ''newer'' room, again no fridge no microwave, she promised she texted the maintains to bring us fridge in the morning. In the morning my husband asked about the fridge and they had no clue about that, he asked again they said they will check - we never got the fridge. We had to bring ice every few hours, for the 4 nights we were there. Who heard about hotel with no fridge in a basic room in our days??
The ''newer'' room had 2 Squeaky beds, the mattresses were dirty with stains and the room was smelly.
The receptionists weren't so nice, every time I asked for clean towels (they don't go in the rooms any more) I felt like I disturb them. The only good thing about that hotel is the location.
This hotel was my first choice for so many years, but never, never again !! Too bad they didn't take those last 2 years to renovate, and make this (use to be a wonderful hotel) to a more up to date hotel 😒

This was our second time staying at this hotel and unfortunately very disappointing. I like many others have mentioned I figured they would take the last two years to renovate, but instead it seems to have fallen further into disrepair. I knew the rooms were a bit outdated when we stayed pre-COVID, but they are large and the balcony is nice and the daily breakfast is a bonus. This unfortunately is where the positive aspects end. We stayed in a double queen room and the safe didn't work (not that this was a big deal), the powder room had obviously flooded at some point causing the floor to peel up. The bathroom door wouldn't shut (I think it may have been damaged by flooding as well) and the bathroom fan wouldn't work. When you have 4 people staying in a room, bathroom privacy would be an asset. On day 3 I asked about the guest laundry room, and the washer had conveniently "broke down" that morning. There are several other local motels that cost the same, but are much better maintained. We like the location of this motel, and as others have mentioned, the outside is maintained very nicely, but it does NOT reflect the rooms. If they are only trying to attract one-time customers, then they have hit the nail on the head. The staff overall were courteous although when we asked to be moved to another room after day one (we were booked for 5 days), we were told it wasn't possible. My kids are now older, so they liked that the motel had a gym, and used the indoor pool and hot tub. I didn't use the indoor pool, but went down to use the hot tub . It was filthy the first day, but seemed to be cleaned the second time, although the jets weren't functional. The breakfast is adequate with a variety of hot protein, cereals, yogurt and fruit and toast. The food is fresh and the dining room is clean. I sadly would not consider returning to this motel unless I physically saw that the rooms had been renovated. It was disheartening to see how much time was being spent making sure the outside facade looked painted (we saw maintenance people cleaning and painting the outside daily) and clean when the inside needs some serious attention. The carpeting is dark and dirty, and of course with the cleaning staff not being able to clean the rooms until you check out, it makes the rooms feel that much dirtier. This could be such an amazing spot the stay, too bad they have let it deteriorate to this extent.

Room Tip: The hotel overall seemed to be quiet. If you want a good room though, I suggest booking elsewhere.

Never again!!! I stayed here 10 years ago and it has gone downhill !! most of the staff was very friendly, but overworked and had way too much going on. The cleanliness of the bathroom needed improvement. The walls needed to be wiped down, dirt needed to be vacuumed from the corners, and the ring around the bathtub should be scrubed. breakfast was awful! sheets were dirty, and old. room was full of dust. Locks on the doors did not work. No lock on slider door. Spiderwebs everywhere.! just a nightmare.. hotel entrance is unique and large. Rooms are large. indoor pool was nice . outdoor pool had overgrown, landscaping everywhere. Although most of the employees were friendly, some very sketchy. I'd say my overall experience there with my children was not comforting, and we didn't feel safe or like we were on vacation. The owner of this hotel should probably come to New Hampshire to see what's going on.

When making the reservation I inquired about breakfast, I was told by Chris-Front desk that the breakfast was continental but it offered at least one dish prepared by the chef. Having recently had been at a hotel chain and served Jimmy Dean frozen sandwiches with a microwave, I asked for further explanation and assured it was a chef cooked breakfast.

Tuesday checking in I was told where breakfast was served and times. Wednesday morning I did not find any activity where I was told to go, so I went to the front desk. They informed my that because it was Wednesday they didn't serve breakfast. I questioned why I was told about breakfast hours earlier and when making reservation. I was told all summer long the hotel didnt serve on Tuesday or Wednesday but I could grab something off the tray in the little store.

If they have not been serving all summer on Tuesday and Wednesday I would think in honesty a note would be on the website.

What was on the tray in the store to serve the entire hotel of 50+ rooms for breakfast....2 wrapped frozen blueberry muffins and 6 granola bars on a 9 inch tray. Again clearly they were not expecting to feed the hotel guests from one small platter a few bars. No fruit, no juice, ....

The hotel was showing signs of long term deferred maintenance. There are no box springs so the bed is practically sitting on the floor.

Would not recommend!!

I booked this hotel for our family ski weekend. When we first arrived in the evening, we were not at all happy with the room given to us (It was too small and dated). The manager was not there, so waited until the morning to work things out. After explaining our disappointment, she was more than accommodating and even allowed us the option to check out 2 days early since they were full and nothing else was available. We took advantage of this but, when we were unable to find other available hotels on the area, I came back to her again to ask if any better rooms had opened up and she was able to offer one up after another cancellation.

Our 2nd room was much better and we were so much happier. It was spacious, quiet and comfortable-exactly what we were looking for. We loved the fire in the lobby in the evening as well as the free Starbucks machine. The pool was perfect for our girls and I enjoyed the hot tub. Their breakfast wasn’t 5-star, but was sufficient for us.

Kudos to the wonderful manager for being cooperative and understanding. You made our trip so much more enjoyable! Because of this experience, we would definitely stay here again.

Average stay and okay quality for the price paid. When looking for extra towels/washcloths after the first night, we were told that we would not get housekeeping as our stay was for only 3 nights. We were not informed of this when we checked in and were unable to find housekeeping to request more. Other front desk staff, who were very nice and helpful, informed us of this after the fact. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and inviting. Upon entering the room it smelled of mildew. Stained lampshades, very poor lighting (some switches did not work at all). Bottom of toilet tank was dirty. The room was dated and in need of a deep cleaning. The beds were somewhat comfortable (although noisy) and the shower was nice. We did use the indoor pool and although the pool itself was clean, the walls need a good scrubbing. Complimentary coffee and breakfast were good.
