First visit to this location and we will definitely be back. This hotel is right in the heart of North Conway and across from all the outlets, grocery stores, and retail in general. Incredibly easy to find and get around. We had a king suite which was larger than the first floor of my house. What a treat! It had a kitchenette, a bar, living area, double sided fireplace, bedroom, and a bathroom with shower and corner soaking tub. The space to spread out was my favorite part. The room was clean and looked remodeled. The pull out couch (which we just wanted to use for sitting) was pretty terrible. Cushions sank into the frame and it just wasn't comfortable. There were two arm chairs with ottomans and we used those the entire trip. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was spacious too. The bathroom was in need of a remodel. The shower was dark and small. It also had a used washcloth on the floor of the shower. Yuck. The paper goods (TP and Kleenex) were all nearly out when we entered the room as were the conditioner and shampoo. The front desk helped us there, but these should have been changed before guests checked in. The breakfast is still on with grab and go items. There isn't anything for vegans except bananas. Non-dairy items would be great. Water options are a drinking fountain or you can purchase water. Water out of the juice/soda machine doesn't work. Staff was hit or miss. Mostly very kind. 50% wore masks. We checked in quite late (10:30pm) and neither staff member wore a mask. This was very strange to me as we both had our masks on. I had to come down after checking in to get the paper products not in our bathroom and again front desk staff didn't wear masks. Other than that, we loved the room size, amenities, and location despite the issues stated above.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Holiday Inn this winter. Understanding that during school vacation they were overwhelmed - lack of towels and the cleanliness of the hotel was evident. In addition, there was a strong smell of marijuana through our room and hallway. Based on conversations with the front desk, there didn't seem to be anything they could do about this problem. After the second occurrence (7pm and 9pm), we had to knock on the next door and ask them to stop smoking. This is a non-smoking hotel, as such there should be procedures for addressing issues. It should not be left up to the front desk staff and definitely not paying guests. I would 100% not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other chain hotels in this area!

Staff, withstanding prior reviews now seemingly making every effort to improve accommodations and services during this extremely challenging COVID period. Stayed 4 days and room/services were excellent. Very convenient to skiing, parks, and town amenities. Price was excellent given time period. Hotel and most townspeople around town actually complying with mask and distance.

On December 30, 2020 my family and I reserved a room at IHG North Conway, New Hampshire. We arrived at 8:00 am and I asked the front desk agent if we could possibly check-in early and he informed me that due to COVID procedures the room would not be ready until 3:00 pm. I told him that was fine because we were also concerned about cleanliness and what precautions hotels must take. Around 8:00 pm we opened the sleeper sofa and noticed that the sheets had red stains and crumbs, we then checked the king bed in the bedroom and there were black hairs on the sheets. We were horrified because now we knew that the room could not have been cleaned since the sheets were dirty. I then notified the front desk and informed her that we would be leaving the hotel. The agent came to our room to offer us another room but my son and his family did not want to chance another dirty room. The agent witnessed the dirty sheets and was upset herself. I asked her to have the General Manager contact me the next day. We live in Boston and had to drive three hours in the icy rain. The general manager never contacted me the next day to but on Monday, January 4, 2021 the Operations Manager, Dwyer, contacted me and apologized. I explained the incident to him which he apologized profusely. We both agreed that he would send me a gift certificate for a complimentary two-night stay and 10,000 points. This never happened. He left a few messages stating that he was waiting on the General Manager to issue the gift certificate. Needless to say, I have not heard from the hotel since Friday, January 8, 2021. I am appalled the IHG would allow a property not to take the proper sanitary precautions during a pandemic and that a general manager does not feel that this is a safety concern for guests. I will be telling family and friends not to stay at this property.

I stayed for a few days for my yearly fall foliage trip and overall it was pretty basic. My biggest reason for choosing this hotel was for the free breakfast to save myself some time in the morning but upon arrival, they mentioned that they were out of food due to a busy weekend so there would not be any free breakfast during my stay. The room was relatively clean and I didn't use the hotel much other than for sleeping so my experience was limited outside of that.
