I travel allot all over the world. I would stay at this location again without hesitation. I believe that the Hotel is newly renovated, if not , it is one well kept clean place. I couldn't get over the beautiful vibrant color wall to wall carpets and the overall layout of the hotel. Two highlights for this hotel a full breakfast area with waffles, juice, coffee, muffins, cereal etc. Second, within walking distance is the Yankee Smokehouse, the BEST Bar-B-Q bar none - Don't miss it.
My boyfriend and I were in town for one night and were surprised at the quality of this stay! We booked because it was cheap, not expecting much, but it was a very nice experience. The man at the front desk was extremely friendly and even gave us breakfast sandwiches in the morning. The room itself was very clean and it was nice and quiet. We plan to come back!
We were on the road travelling when the GM, Mitch, called to inform us that there was an issue with overbookong. We explained we were already driving in the mountains and hours from home. He assured us that he'd figure it out. When we arrived around 4pm - sure enough he had and we checked in. Mitch and Marla were very accomodating even moving us to the first floor since I was traveling with my mom whose disabled. The rooms are perfectly fine for a little lodge in NH - just what you'd expect. While a little older they are clean, smell fresh, provide all the comforts of home such as flat screens, WiFi, and a comfy bed. Our room even had a mini-fridge and microwave. The outside is very plain and more run down, but most things are in that type of landscape. The rooms were definitely up to choice standards which is why I always choose to stay with them honestly. Some mentioned in there reviews that there isn't much around - duh! It's a small town in the mountains not North Conway. Everything you need is within a couple miles; some fast food places, plenty of convenience stores, dollar general, gas stations, and a few restaurants. We highly recommend Jakes Seafood and Grille as well as the Wooden Spoon for breakfast! Also down 16 is the Ossipee overlook (see some pictures below) - check it out! Beautiful and not overly crowded! One last note, the gentleman at check out was a gem; checking on our stay, offering us a breakfast sandwich for the road (assuming they handle those things due to covid), and letting us know it was their pleasure to have us as guests and to visit again soon. I love simple hospitality! My brother and his family have a camp in the area - I promise we'll be back! Thank you to Mitch, Marla, and the staff! P.S. If your concerned about covid measures - this lodge is on top of it. Masks are required for common areas, hand sanitizer available for guests, plexi glass dividers, and all. …
Clean, air conditioned, refrigerator, cable TV, close to stores, excellent price. The owners were super friendly. Activity room (pool table and darts) and exercise room. Stayed one night and could not have had a better stay. We were the only people in the lobby so I didn't notice any social distancing markings. I did not venture from my room so I don't know about the other questions below.
I had stayed with this Econo Lodge 2360 white mountain Hwy West Ossipee NH 03890....it is so pleasant to stay, clean environment, friendly staffs and especially they are very honest and trusted...i left the place and forgot my 18k golden necklace...i called them back to see whether they found it while cleaning the room....they called me back and informed me that they saw my necklace and returned to my hometown address..what a awesome people..thanks a lot for being so honest and kind....
We were attending a wedding at a nearby summer camp, so our options were very limited and we ended up at this place. If I were paying $79.95/night, this might be marginally acceptable. But for $150 a night? Here's what we found: The first sight upon entering the room is badly stained and worn carpet. The bathtub is scaling and stained, nothing you would ever take a bath in, and barely OK for a shower. There is no full-length mirror, a basic minimum for any hotel room. The towels are few and flimsy; we get much nicer at our gym. The walls are paper-thin, making it easy to hear the conversation in the next room (want a Red Bull and vodka? that's what they were making...) There ought to be a bed table and lamp on each side of the bed; there was only one. The pillows and blanket were junk. An alarm went off overnight and took a long, long time to be shut off. The (very minimal) "fitness room" is only open from 10 AM to 6 PM; most people want to exercise at the beginning or end of the day, but that's not an option. And most of the times we went in and out, no one was visible at the front desk. Hard to believe this place meets the standards of any chain, and it certainly didn't meet ours.…
Noisy, no staff available, food inedible, rundown lousy wifi. $150 a night was one of the worst values ever. try the days inn up the road and have breakfast at rosie's. and trip adviser won't let me post this unless i make it 200 charcters so they suck too.
Our first hotel fell through and all we could find was the Econo Lodge in West Ossippi. I expected to see Norman Bates (Psycho) when I entered; however - it was a pleasant surprise! The interior was spotless, well-decorated and the staff were lovely. The town isn't much. There's a BBQ place and a McDonalds and we didn't try either. Not sure what people do I. The area - we were passing through. The hotel was an excellent value for price.
A no frills motel. Room was clean. Only 1 blanket for the middle of winter. Free breakfast was juice, cereal, waffles, bagels and toast. Average price paid for an average room. I've paid more for less.
I am a platinum Choice member. It means I'm in hotels ALL THE TIME. This guy was so rude I left. He told me that he was going to cancel my reservation. I said fine. As I was walking out the door, he told me he was going to charge my card for cancellation. I told him that he was the one cancelling, but now he wants to charge. He said yes. I said no. But I still left and found another hotel that was much much more friendly.
