The doors, walls, light switches were filthy. There was something smeared (from another human) on our bathroom mirror which was not cleaned and something in our night stand drawer which I cannot even comment on. I guess that is what you get for the price of the room. I could have handled the small quarters if the room had been clean. I hear we are lucky that our beds had no bugs, which was a plus. The sheets were clean but clearly have not been replaced in ages because of the stains on them. I would say the cabins need a good cleaning, some fresh paint, and new linens for me to stay here again. Some general manners would also help. It is nice that there is a fire pit out front and the location is great but it's not even a step up from camping with the exception of being able to use a toilet. The owner did not say one word when I asked for my room key, nor did their family member who was hanging out at the front desk. Not even a hello. I don't know how this place stays in business.

I had this misfortune of finding this hotel on TripAdvisor on my cell phone Saturday evening 9/7/19 at 7pm after all day in transit. I thought it might be a better option than another inn close by. The posted rate online was $99 and, with tax, $108. That was fine. Off I went to find the place and passed it twice as my GPS didn’t locate it. Frustrating. I was even more frustrated when on the third pass, after having spoken to some locals, I finally saw the unlit sign. I commented while registering about my difficulties in finding them and how lights on their sign might help. The lady rudely said that they apparently just went out. That rude comment was confirmed as a lie by the very kind lady at the Econolodge next door which was great. Yes, I did not stay because after running my credit card, I was handed a receipt for $119. I objected to this and was told that is their weekend rate- too bad. I said I wanted to cancel the transaction and the lady refused!!!!!!! Needless to say, I left. Don’t stay here. You will be treated like garbage and taken advantage of. 👎👎👎

While hiking in the area decided to stay overnight but did not bring my tent so did a quick look on my phone for something cheap in the area I was heading to the next morning. Drove by this place first which was close to the Police station and it did not look too bad so figured I’d check it. The man at the desk was just helping the owners temporarily so was not that familiar with procedures but was very nice. He was not sure how the keys worked so let me into my room with the master key and told me when I got back from dinner to stop in and he would let me back into the room. It worked out ok but kinda strange. The room was very basic with not much room – could only get in the bed on one side. There was a mini fridge and microwave, no coffee maker (which I miss). Internet password was a mystery until a neighbor gave me the password (saw later it was taped high up on the door). Internet was minimal at best with only a few guests using. A/c unit was a bit loud but drowned out most of the street traffic noise. Overall appeared clean enough, very dated furniture and linens bare, also noticed no Bible (important to me). The ad said renovated rooms but I certainly was not in one of them. The ‘continental’ breakfast was quite skimpy – had a bagel with cream cheese and juice and coffee. Owners were there when I went for breakfast and check-out – not very friendly and did not even ask how things were. Not welcoming atmosphere – would not stay here again.

This place has not been updated. Our room had a hole in the bathroom door, porcelain chunks missing from tub. The breakfast is bare minimum. The creamers all curled in my coffee and upon inspection they were four months pas there expiration date. There was and ice machine in office that has mildew in the bottom drain. I don't think it was ever cleaned. It seems to me that the owners don't care or can't keep up with the place. All of their responses are pretty much the same. If your on a budget a guest this place is fine. I will not be going back.

We made a reservation here for a January wedding at the Common Man. Due to impending snow storms we did not stay over, but were able to use the room to get ready before going to the reception. The room was low key, worn, but clean and the staff were friendly and polite. They were concerned that we wanted to check out early thinking there was an issue with the room, but it was just because of the weather. The room was small, but well laid out. We had a room that had a shared foyer with the room next door. The foyer is big enough for ski equipment and locks, so would be handy for that. The bathroom was very small and awkward, but functional. The towels were cheaper quality but looked clean. It was not my first choice for somewhere to stay, but in the end it worked out fine for our needs as a glorified changing room.
