Front desk check-in person was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. $75 as an additional fee for 1 pet is ridiculous given the room was not cleaned. We found crumbs on carpet, hairs on the pillow, shampoo streaks in the shower, vent that did not work & hadn't been cleaned, streaks in the toilet bowl. Breakfast was inedible - store bought pastries and tasteless biscuits. There was a huge line of driverless cars blocking the entrance on arrival. No parking available for guests & another huge fee for valet. There is no way this property should fall under the Hilton umbrella. As a Hilton Honors member I am shocked with what I was charged for such a poor experience. Never again.
This hotel is centrally located in downtown Portsmouth. Parking was limited onsite so we had to park in the garage around the corner. Street parking was difficult to find when we arrived late Thursday evening, but during less busy times this is an alternative to the $35 self-parking fee. Our room was on the second floor and well appointed. We had a street view facing the backside of the hotel. The beds slept very comfortably. The hotel staff was amazing, especially the front desk receptionist who checked us in on Thursday evening, July 15, 2021. Breakfast was sufficient but not necessarily filling so you can try out a local diner if time permits. We were able to walk to several restaurants and shops and the African Burying Grounds. Such a beautiful little town with nearby beaches. We visited Wallis Sands State Beach, about a 15 drive away. Very close to the Maine state line, directly across the bridge.…
Very clean, great customer service. Front desk asked how everything was. Meg was great! I would stay here again for any other business or leisure trip. Great accommodations and very friendly staff. Quick and easy check in and out.
I loved this hotel. Beautifully appointed, great location. Even with the rain, it was easily within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Meg at the front desk made sure we were comfortable and that everything in our room was perfect. I used the valet because by the time I arrived, the on street parking was limited, but my husband arrived later and was able to find some.
I frequently stay at Hampton Inns, and I would say that this is a particularly nice property. The location couldn't be better; the staff was friendly and helpful; and the valet parking was convenient and quick. Additionally, the attractively designed lobby with the double-sided fireplace was warm and welcoming. As I was making a phone call from the lobby, I noticed that they had a complimentary gift wrap station, complete with everything you might need to wrap some packages on your way to a holiday gathering. A super nice touch! Our room (#315) was a corner unit, providing lots of space and plenty of natural light. In addition to the comfortable king bed, it offered a large desk and a separate sitting area. It really was a great room. I would definitely return to this location.
I've stayed her a few times previously and this has been my first choice when visiting Portsmouth. This is no longer the case. My next visit I will be choosing one of the hotels across the street. The location is great, some of the staff are friendly, the hotel is clean and the amenities overall are good. My issue this stay is my room. I paid more for a king suite/studio. I am in a room on the 2nd floor, street level, literally at an intersection. It is the worst room I've ever stayed in. It is so unbelievably loud, both inside and outside. I'm seriously considering checking out early to drive home so I can get some sleep! It's awful!!! The room is designed poorly, only 1 plug on either side of the bed, which is useless if you have a sleep machine or anything in addition to your phone. The sink doesn't drain properly. There's a night light in the restroom which seems like a nice touch, however, not when it's directly next to the bed. This was supposed to be a nice couple of days away with my husband, and it's turned out to be anything but. I would not stay here again.…
My friend and I stayed here, and I was totally blown away by how wonderful our experience was! I am in a wheelchair all of the time and have done some traveling, and this particular hotel experience was absolutely incredible!! Lower beds met my transfer needs, grab bar placement in the bathroom was perfect, and the open space made maneuvering in the room wonderful! A great experience!
Nice clean rooms, EXCELLENT STAFF! Very attentive! We came in late after a Halloween party and they took very good care of us! I love how soundproof the rooms are, we rely couldn't hear anyone Hilton Honors is wort it.
The Hampton is located where it is easy to walk everywhere. You just park and walk. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and attentive and the complimentary breakfast was good.
This hotel is spotless …modern and cozy .. the location is within walking distance too the restaurants and stores the morning breakfast offered has a variety of Buffett items …The customer service at front desk was very good, we will definitely stay here again and look forward too it in the future ..
