My husband and I spent two nights here, and it was so relaxing. Denis was a great host, he provides a gourmet breakfast each morning. Our room was lovely, with views of the lake. His private beach is where we spent the majority of time, swimming, kayaking (kayaks and canoes are provided), relaxing in the hammock, and just enjoying the... More

While the Follansbee Inn is not luxurious, it is charming and clean. We were a large group and all of us were comfortable (although some of the rooms are small). The breakfasts are delicious, with offerings to please everyone. The common rooms are pleasant. Walking around the lake was a favorite activity.

This is a lovely old New England inn, obviously well loved by its owner - and the many return customers. My first time here, and initially I was disappointed that the water was actually across the street and the inn was at an angle to it, but that turned out not to matter. Excellent swimming. I stayed in Elaine, "perfect... More

We've been to ALOT of BB's over the years, and this was the best. We stayed for the weekend in July and never got back in the car. Large, old inn, decorated beautifully with lots of things to look at. I spent a lot of time snooping around taking in all the books and collectibles. We had a room with... More

Thank you for such a great review. We enjoyed hosting the two of you, we thank you for recognizing the care and attention we pay to the details at Follansbee, and of course we hope you return for next year's girl's weekend. Kezar is the perfect lake for swimming, boating, bird watching (eagles, loons, osprey, herons. . . .), fishing,... More

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Follansbee Inn on July 17 on our way from Vermont to Boston. We reserved two rooms, both of which were very comfortable, nicely decorated and had great views of the lake. Both rooms were air-conditioned; although, at night, the temperature dropped into the mid-60's, which was perfect for sleeping. It is clear... More

Thank you Jim and Clara, I'm glad you so enjoyed your stay and hope come back to enjoy more of the B&B experience. Perhaps next time you'll be treated to views of the bald eagles who frequent Kezar Lake, or you'll see the loons and their chicks, or the otters who frolic in the lake, or the beavers. . .... More

I don't usually stay at B&Bs, so I don't have anything to compare it with, but our stay at Follansbee Inn was lovely. We arrived much earlier than check-in time, but the owner let us hang out at the lakeside and allowed us the use of his bikes and boats. He told us that he would have the cleaning staff... More

We stayed for two nights on July 22 & 23rd. The weather turned out gorgeous and we made ample use of swimming in the lake and using the kayaks to putz around. Not even a couple hour power outage kept us from exploring and taking in the nearby towns and scenery. Service was top notch (although there was nothing for... More

Thank you Eric, I hope the two of you do return. I personally love sleeping in the cool New Hampshire night air. Even though I could air condition my living quarters I choose night to, preferring that night air instead. The room was lovely, and impeccable. Enjoyed the living room in the evening and appreciated all the available glassware for our wine and champagne! There was tons of outdoor equipment available to make you ability to enjoy the lake, or go for a bike ride. I could easily make this a yearly habit!

The Follansbee Inn is a quirky, pleasant and slightly over priced inn in North Sutton, NH. We arrived to find our corner room a bit shabby. The main room was ok. We were looking for a classic New England "place on a lake" to relax and use as a base for day trips. The Follansbee Inn fit perfectly!
