We happened on the Birchwood in 2011 and loved it so much we had to return. It took 7 years but we finally got back and it was just as perfect as we remembered. We stayed in the Brighton Suite (again). It was clean and so well decorated. With lots of space, the kitchen area

I have dined numerous times at the London Tavern which is part of the Birchwood Inn. The food is made to order and is very, very good! The only thing better than the food is the Owner's and their staff.

I stopped by the Birchwood Inn today with my family. I had lived in the Inn for about 6 weeks in the early 80s and then was a frequent guest at the restaurant for several years. The former owners, Bill and Judy, were the among the best people I have ever known and I continued to

The Birchwood inn is a beautiful New England Inn dating back to 1775. Located in the small rural town of Temple it has provided services to its customers and the local community for over 200yrs. All past and present owners of the Inn have spent a lot of time and funds maintaining this historic building and rely heavily on the income from its customers to keep this historic landmark on the map. As the current owners of the Inn we are very proud to be able to continue this tradition. From our previous reviews it is evident that we spend a lot of effort ensuring that our customers get the greatest level of service and enjoy their experience both in the lodging accommodations and the Tavern Restaurant. When you reserve a table in the Tavern restaurant, that is your table for the night. The entire team here at the Inn spend time with our customers and provide historic information and stories to our guests constantly. We are proud of what we do and will always make appointments for members of the public to tour the Inn, free of charge, at a convenient time, however we can not and will not accommodate anyone turning up unannounced and expecting to be able to wander round and look, regardless of how busy we may seem at the time. If nothing else, we have a duty to our lodging and dining guests to ensure they are not disturbed or inconvenienced in any way.

We stayed in the Brighton Suite, which was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The Suite was nicely decorated in a seaside theme with lots of interesting things to look at. Everything was neat, tidy and clean. We were warmly greeted next morning in the dining room
