Just got back from a weekend getaway to Waterville Valley and we could not have picked a better place to stay. The entire resort is very clean from our room to the pool and hot tub. The Black Bear Lodge is in walking distance from Waterville Village, we parked our car and it never moved for the weekend. All rooms...

Lodge is dated but comfortable & we were disappointed that there was no food service there. Room was very cute & had plenty of cookware to use. I would highly recommend bringing food & drinks. There is a market in townsquare, but it is very limited & expensive. Local access to the athletic club was nice.

I went to Waterville valley because my family and I wanted to ski at Waterville valley ski resort. We went to this hotel because of the prices of the rooms and they had queen sized beds. I liked the size of the rooms and quality of them when we walked in. I was disappointed that there was no food service...

This hotel is the value option at the mountain. Its fine enough and is staffed by a very helpful team. Thin walls, long, noisy halls but the team is eager to please. It promotes a community atmosphere throughout the resort so bring ear plugs for sleeping and you'll have a great time. We would stay here again.

The lodge was a little outdated. Our room 422 was very clean and up to date. Each suite only has one full bathroom. To get to the Town Square it was a short walk. I suggest bringing food with you. There is a full kitchen in each suite. There is only one breakfast spot to each, The Blue Moon. It...

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised during our recent stay at the Black Bear Lodge for my daughters's hockey tournament. The rooms were very spacious for our family of 5 and they were very clean. Each room has slightly decor, but they all have the same bedroom set up and either a murphy bed or a sleep sofa...

Excellent stay at the Black Bear Lodge. Family of 4 with two teenage daughters. Condo was perfect. Pool and hot tub were clean, game room a plus. Walkable to town and recreation center. Two TVs! Late check in due to drive from Boston - not a problem for front desk staff. Bathroom light was flickering, made a call and it...

The Staff of the Black Bear Lodge was very helpful and friendly. Our over all stay was good. It was a bit pricey, $700+ for 3 nights on MLK weekend. The place could definitely use a remodel, it is very dated, it looks very tired and old. The room was OK...of the 16 family's that stayed there for our hockey...

Me and my family were a bit skeptical when we first pulled up to the lodge. The exterior was a bit dated and definitely could use a facelift. The team at the front desk was incredibly nice but it felt very much like checking into a hotel back in the 1970s. The room was also very dated but I was...
