The hotel was adequate, or at least our second room was. The biggest problem here is the failure to update anything in the last three decades. The beds, sheets, blankets, and bedspreads are ancient. The hot tubs have been decommissioned for not meeting code anymore. These rooms are so old, they have (tiny) CRT televisions. The bathrooms possibly have new...

We visited the Snowy Owl Inn for a hockey tournament. The block of rooms was secured by our team manager and we booked separately. I booked through Booking.com and rcvd a nice rate for the weekend. We came up a little before check in and thought that we could walk around/look around and then potentially go have a late lunch...

We've stayed at New England Inns and Bed and Breakfast locations for over 30 years. These places are rustic, have character and are typically clean. They offer the basics that any skier family might need - a comfortable bed, clean room, coffee, juice and bagel in the morning and hot shower at the end of the ski day. Some places...

My son and I went for the weekend to go skiing. After checking in we soon realized the elevators were out of order. Once getting to our room it was like walking into the 80s which I could live with if at least it was clean. The carpet was gross, I left my shoes on. The room made me not...

What can I say about the Snowy Owl Inn. Lets start with the positive: 1) They have online reservations. 2) The moose head above the fireplace in the main lobby wears a scarf. 3) It is really close to the Town Square and the ice rink. 4) They have an elevator (that’s been recently inspected. 5) The room had a...

I had a good one night stay at the Snowy Owl. The inn decor is reminiscent of a lodge with many gas fireplaces and common areas with places to sit and read. My room was comfortable and felt very clean. Being there on a cold winter evening, I was glad that it heated up quickly. The inn is bright and...

Great place in the White Mountains to park your car and enjoy a long weekend. Plenty of restaurants and cute shops all within a tenth of a mile. Hiking, cross country skiing, down hill, tubing, ice skating, bon fire in the evenings ...just a great destination. Do ask the hotel if they are hosting a hockey tournament first. It was...

The hotel is in walking distance from most attractions but the room and breakfast are a bit pricey and the customer service is not good. The pool was constantly running out of towels and staff complained when they had to replace them. Also the security staff did not like people using common areas after 8 or 9.

I was apprehensive about embarking on a week long trip to this hotel with a large school party as a representative of the travel company having read the earlier damning reviews. However, my fears were completely unfounded and I can say with a degree of confidence based on over 30 years' experience that if you want to sample a New...
