This place is awesome. It’s so relaxing and I feel safe. I’m from here and only come home once or twice a year from Florida. The owner was so nice to me. Super impressed. This is why I come back to NH every year. Thank you. Can’t wait to see y’all again. By the way...the cottage smells like when I was growing up. So happy.
It was dated and when you pull up to Cedar Lodge it looks impressive. It was dusty inside and the pillow on my side was stained! Needless to say, I was happy I had brought my own. I killed myself laughing when I saw a topless painting in the bathroom! Not kid friendly! The only two items that were new was the Fridge and toilet. This condo had more layers of paint than my house that is 100 years old! We only stayed for one night because we came up for the Hall and Oates concert that cancelled due to weather! I sent the owners an email but received no response so I decided to post our experience.
With a 4 star recommendation from Trip Advisor I booked a ‘cottage’ at Sun Valley Cottages. I was told upon arriving at the check in, (in a very sorry looking space that was cluttered and not very clean) that there were no more cottages available but I would be staying in the ‘resort’ one mile up the road. The ‘resort’ was a vinyl sided monolith in the woods with average rooms that were disappointing and did not merit the $175/night charge. The door to the exterior patio was broken, the sheets on the bed didn’t match and their cleanliness was suspect. Please ask upon booking where you will stay and ask for photos of your room if you choose to stay here. I will not be back.
I stayed here due to its proximity to a concert venue. Thankfully I was able to get a cottage for 1 night over a holiday weekend. My boyfriend & I stayed in cottage #9. Although it is a smaller cottage, it was perfect for us. The cottage was clean & they already had the a/c running before we checked in which was very appreciated!
This is a neat place. I have now stayed in cottage #15 twice. The bathroom was spotless, and over all it was quite clean. It is a bit dated, but it reminds me of my trips to New England with my parents and grandparents many years ago. They are pet friendly, which is awesome. I am sure we will be back again. The kitchen is an added plus.
