We had a two night stay at the Woodstock Inn last month and it coincided with a wedding taking place at the venue. Not usually a problem but when we walked from our car to reception to check in there was a guest on the...More
I am a business owner in town who once in awhile gets take out from here. It seems they have a real problem with consistency. Every restaurant should have the same food prepared the same way coming out of the kitchen at ALL times. That's...More
This quaint little(?) hideaway is my regeneration place. With I believe 5 or 6 houses made in to rooms it is spread out but all centrally located. Some of the rooms are newer but I prefer the older rooms with character. The breakfast you get...More
They do have a nice garden, but the food was average and the service absolutely atrocious. What a shame since this is such a cool little spot. I felt depressed after eating here. Good beer selection, but be prepared for the shocker of your bill.More

We stayed here for one night on the way up to Canada. It was a perfect stop-over for us with our three little kids. Downstairs the place is very lively, upstairs it was quiet and with a classic ccharm of an Inn in the mountains.

The Flume is behind the Cascade Lodge. The entrance is off the porch. The Flume is the only room in the Sawyer with direct access to the porch, not to say that it's restricted to Flume guests. There are chairs on the porch and would be fine for porch-sitting, when the weather conditions allow. Noise from the room next door ? Unfortunately, yes. But then again, how thick should the walls be made to muffle the voices and activities of some ill mannered, discourteous guests. We have stayed in the Flume on several occasions, and only on this last stay did we experience the latter situation.
