I stayed in the Georgiana room by myself. It's tiny. Website says it's "medium" sized, so I was expecting something a least a little larger but I guess that depends on perspective. On one side of the bed there's no room to walk, on the...More
This was another wonderful stay in the White Mountains. The Inn is perfectly located to drive the Kangamagus to view the colors. There are hiking trails and more within a short drive. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The food is great, too. I recommend...More

The Flume is behind the Cascade Lodge. The entrance is off the porch. The Flume is the only room in the Sawyer with direct access to the porch, not to say that it's restricted to Flume guests. There are chairs on the porch and would be fine for porch-sitting, when the weather conditions allow. Noise from the room next door ? Unfortunately, yes. But then again, how thick should the walls be made to muffle the voices and activities of some ill mannered, discourteous guests. We have stayed in the Flume on several occasions, and only on this last stay did we experience the latter situation.
