The atmosphere of this quaint bed and breakfast was just what we were looking for on a weekend during the fall. My husband took me here to enjoy a quiet room, great food, dinner theater, shopping and greater Cape May. The owners were very personable, accommodating and hands on the entire stay. The staff was pleasant and friendly too. Our... More

Spent the Murder Mystery weekend there for our Anniversay. We had a great time. The food was great, service very accommodating and the murder mystery a lot of fun. Our room was done in Victorian period. The bar was a nice place for a quiet drink. Will do again next year.

Wonderful modern rooms and bathrooms with very comfortable beds. Center of downtown Cape May. Lovely inside bar and fabulous setting on outside patio with lights and music as horses pass by. ENJOY breakfast on the porch! Met new Chef Joe! Great time. Shout out to Paul..the best waiter ever!!

I am not a professional reviewer...so take it as it is. I always wonder if half of these reviews are real. I have relied on reviews on TA to make a selection only to realize others reviewing must have a completely different perspective or???? The staff was very accommodating - the breakfast which is included in your stay is very... More

When we arrived on Friday night, the weather was beautiful (September) and we were able to enjoy appetizers and drinks while sitting outside on the porch. The singer was incredibly talented, the setting was gorgeous with pretty edison lights dangling above, and the apps were delicious. Our wknd included 2 drinks per person, no price limit. We met our hosts, who... More

Attended the Dinner Theater at Elaine's last night (10/1/16). Can't say enough negative things about the food! All parties in our foursome ordered the steak. The waitress quickly exited and returned to tell us they had not planned for enough steak dinners, so none of us could have steak! (This was the only meat on the limited dinner theater menu).... This is a place sure to get a higher rating from someone who enjoys serious Victorian decor. And if you are coming to cape may, chances are you'll love the Victorian style. Heavy and dark antiques in the rooms typical of period. Lots of lights with beaded lampshades etc. just not my style--and seemed like it could use refreshing in... More

The place was noisy- on a busy street with live music played every night we were there! They offered free breakfast, but while the menu was interesting, the food was horrible. My wife and I had different entrees each of the three mornings we were there, and 5 out of the 6 were close to inedible - cold eggs, under... More

Love the Victorian look in Cape May and thought we'd stay in a B&B. We were not disappointed with our stay at Elaine's. The house maintains its old Victorian look but our room was completely modern. I was worried that it might have a musty odor due to its age but luckily it was "modern" in every way. Loved the... More
