My parents stayed here for their 40th wedding anniversary. The owner, David, helped me treat my parents to an extra special weekend while they were there. It is clean, friendly, and the staff is super helpful. The best part was my parents could bring their dog. My dad loves his dog and he was so happy to take his dog... More

Highland House is the perfect place to stay in Cape May if you vacation with your dogs. It's a very friendly place, well located and convenient to everything. Everyone at the house ( guests and managers ) are friendly and accommodating.

From the hosts to the guests and grounds, it was a perfect homey vacation for us and our dog. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. There is plenty of gated space for the dogs to do their business. The room (the smallest there I think) was quaint and lovely, just big enough for two & a half. and opened onto a huge... More

We just returned from a lovely weekend at Highland House with our 7mo golden retriever. Considering the reasonable rates and pet-friendly policy I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of the inn. It's abundantly clear that the staff work diligently to keep the rooms fresh. They were friendly without being intrusive, and prepared a yummy, hot breakfast each... More

Place is very clean and vintage. You feel like you are visiting a relative when staying here. Rooms are different sizes. Two I think have a kitchen. Have brought our dog with us....no problem. Pet friendly ! Home style breakfast.....always good. A bot of a walk to town center, but doable.

A lovely house and location. We were excited to be able to bring our dog, but unfortunately the walls are thin and we could hear at least 2 dogs barking at a time and every word of the arguing couple upstairs. It was like trying to sleep in a dog kennel and our tired pup was on edge the entire... More

First of all, the good. Jenny and Mary Ellen, the two wonderful ladies who run this place during the week, were terrific. If we needed something, they responded quickly and with a smile. They cooked and served a wonderful breakfast every day. Which brings me to the bad. The Highland House website states that coffee and tea are available every... More

Hi Perry, Thank you so much for your review of the Highland House. I'm sorry to hear that you and Nancy were disappointed with your visit. My apologies to the two of you for causing you to purchase breakfast groceries prior to your stay. Earlier in the season I decided to serve a lighter selection during the busy season but... More

My husband and I have stayed st Highland House multiple times in the past few years. It is not your typical swanky Victorian Cape May B&B, so if you're going for that kind of ambiance, look elsewhere. HOWEVER, if you want or need to travel with one or more pets, you will never find a warmer welcome than you will... More

Found this gem on my research to find a place to stay with my dog! Rooms very clean with no doggie smell! The ladies that run this B and B are all so helpful and friendly! There are quite a few dog friendly places including restaurants on Cape May! This B and B is within walking distance of many! There... More
