We stayed in the Jackson Room of the Red Cottage and everything was perfect! The bed was very comfortable and having your own private balcony would be really nice in the warmer months. Everyone was very friendly and having our breakfast brought up to our room was a special

Hi Caitlin, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us--and for the stellar review! Our goal here at the Virginia Hotel is create lasting memories for our guests, so it is especially rewarding to hear that we have become a regular part of your Christmas traditions. The holiday season has become such a magical time to visit Cape May, and I am delighted to hear that you have enjoyed the festive season with us. Thank you as well for your kind words regarding Leo and Plamena--I will be sure to pass your comments along to them. I hope we will not have to wait until next December to host you again! Please come back and visit this spring and see our beautifully renovated lobby and lounge areas, and grab a cocktail by the fireplace, which will be going strong for a few more months! Warm Regards, Jordan Rowan General Manager

My husband and I love staying at The Virginia Hotel. We decided last minute to attempt a stay over Presidents weekend. We found a room at the Sandpiper sister property (We loved it. See our Sandpiper review). We stopped by The Virginia to say hello to the wonderful staff.

The ambience is luxurious. I loved the lightning and wine. The veal and the salad were fabulous and priced right at $44 dollars. This meal can be shared as the portion was humongous. The wine selection was fantastic, highly recommend this place.

Hi Elizabeth, The hotel provides beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. We also have really nice beach tents that you can rent daily which include a cooler of beverages. Our beautiful beaches are very sandy and not rocky at all. And... Yes, UBER is here in Cape May. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

There is a horse drawn carriage in one picture / is that available in fall and winter ? What is the charge ?
Hi Jake! The horse drawn carriages are operated by a private company in town, Cape May Carriages. They charge $50 per couple, with an additional fee for more guests beyond that. They operate through the end of December, weather dependent. I hope this is helpful! Best, Jordan Rowan General Manager

is there a hot tub
No hot tub--sorry! We do have a lovely wood burning fireplace you can curl up by, though, as well as a first-class spa located at our sister property Congress Hall--both should offer great opportunities to relax and unwind during your stay! Hope to see you in Cape May soon! Jordan Rowan General Manager
