Was in town for an event at MetLife Stadium and spent two nights at this Hampton location. The front desk staff were lovely both at check in and check out.

I was very pleased I was able to get into my room early and was supplied with very thorough instructions about taking the NJ Transit bus to/from the city (the sheet provided included step by step fare, schedule, route number, and location info). The room was clean and in excellent condition, with all the standard features you expect from Hampton (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toiletries).

Hallways and public areas were well maintained and clean, as was the breakfast area, which had all the usual Hampton offerings. There was ample parking with 24 hour security camera monitoring.

There were a few disappointments. First, the breakfast area seemed way too small for a hotel this size, and was jammed both mornings even though many were taking their meal back to their room (as I needed to the second day as there were no available seats).

Secondly, there seems to be little insulation between rooms and floors. I’m not a light sleeper but the first night I was continually awoken by voices of late arrivals in the hallway and adjacent rooms, as well as the guest above continually thumping across the floor and flushing the toilet. The second night it was the adjacent guest snoring and the room above having loud relations. Throughout the stay, the loud mufflers on the street out front, slamming doors, and toilets and showers running also hindered rest.

This location, staff, and facilities are excellent overall, so I’d recommend asking for a room in the rear on a high floor, and bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

We were coming to NYC for a concert at MSG and needed some place that wasn't going to break the bank yet allowed easy access to the city. This fit the bill. An easy 20 minute drive or you can catch a bus right outside the
Hotel to the Port Authority. We were greeted with smiles at check in and any questions we had. The room was immaculate and clean, too. The complimentary breakfast was good with many options. There was also free parking on-site and it is a Stine's throw to American Dream Mall, MetLife Stadium and you can walk across the street to the Meadowlands race track! Just a great find and we'll be back.

Could be a 5 Star Hotel, but the Staff are all mainly Hispanic and don't truly speak any English, so communications are very poor between guests and the working staff.

The overall personality of the Hotel staff are just strictly business and truly show no other care about the guest, they do their jobs and no other reach to be friendly is presented. The Hotel was clean throughout.

Our room 410 was clean and comfortable, and it does have a complimentary personal Safe in the closet for guest to use. The room also has a mini refrigerator and mini microwave. The shower in the bathroom is adequate with plenty of hot water and good pressure. There is complimentary self parking with plenty of spaces on the property.

There is no swimming pool on the property, but they do have outside patio seating in the front of the hotel, and there is a complimentary business center in the lobby area, and there is a small fitness room.

The complimentary breakfast was very good, because it was always well stocked with the items needed, and they always had fresh bakery items (donuts, bagels, variety pastry). They had hot items of eggs and meat and a potato. They don't have any sweet sugar dry cereals only plain cheerios, rice crispy, and raisin bran. Overall the breakfast area was clean with plenty of good seating.

Also they don't give complimentary water out to Silver guest, you have to be Diamond to get any complimentary water they tell the guests, which I thought that always Silver guest would at least get the free water on arrival.

The area felt safe, and there is a lot around the area of this hotel, places to eat and entertainment with the Meadowland Stadium right across the streets practically.

Been a Hilton loyalist for 17 years now, as well as a HGV owner, but experiences like at this Hampton are pushing me away from the brand. Second time staying at this property.

Never have I experienced such unprofessionalism by the late night shift staff (two young males). I communicated an issue with the on-site laundry facility (machine took money, not working), and the staff expressed absolute indifference ("nothing I could do about it, it's not our machines; can't issue you a refund, only managers can"). It's unfortunate certain team members carry an attitude and genuinely do not want to help guests.

The room on the first floor faces an industrial logistics company. Expect to be waken up by the trucks and beeping. Parking lot is a few feet from the small window, so there is a lot of noise from people parking, moving their luggage/belongings and talking. Expect no sunlight in your room, since you have to leave the window shade closed for any sort of privacy. Walls are thin, so you could easily hear conversations in the next door room. Breakfast area is overcrowded constantly, so you have to maneuver through crowds of people. Room itself is fine - bed linens have a few spots/stains but nothing significant. Shower space is tight, but water pressure is great. Gym is limited - a bit small with a few cardio machines and free weights up to 20 lb. Overall, a no frills property that has a lot of guests due to MetLife being nearby.

We stayed here for the George Strait concert . We only stayed the one night. Plenty of free parking in hotel lot. Hotel provides free shuttle to Redds bar lot 0.5 miles away and Redds has round trip buses into the stadium which is another 0.5 miles for $10 total or you can park your car there for $50 and all car passengers get free bus ride.

Free breakfast with eggs bacon home fries bagels and croissants everyone satisfied with. Clean room with nice view of stadium right across the highway but not accessible by walking.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed at. I arrived with my family and we picked the hotel due to its free shuttle to the American Dream Mall. We arrived and were told that the shuttle driver was out and it would be 30 minutes. We then waited 30 minutes and asked again how much longer and were told 10 minutes. After 10 minutes we asked again and again were told 10 minutes. The driver finally arrived and took us over to the mall, when we arrived into our hotel room one of the lights by the bed was covered with electrical tape and was not working. We went downstairs again to complain and they sent the maintenance person upstairs to fix it the next day. We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and on the first night they did not clean our room and we saw the sign in the bathroom saying we will clean every other day. So on our second night again we arrived back at the hotel and were told that if we wanted our room cleaned we had to request it. I have never stayed at a hotel that I would have to request my room to be cleaned as a pilot I stay at lots of hotels and have never had to ask for my room to be cleaned.

This was a great property, located very smartly right in front of the bus stop with bus service that takes you to and from NY Port Authority.

I stayed there for 7 days -- the room was very comfy and really clean, the free hot breakfast was such a good deal. The staff was courteous and kind. I also really appreciated the free shuttle to American Dream Mall.

If there was anything that i wish would be improved, it would be that they hire more housekeeping staff. You have to call daily before 10 AM to request that your room be cleaned / sheets changed, and on more than 1 occasion, housekeeping missed my room in spite of me putting in my request. When I saw a member of the housekeeping staff to request for clean towels, they had none left anywhere. Why ask us to call ahead if these details cannot be taken care of?

Apart from that, it was an otherwise wonderful experience. I wouldn't mind booking another stay here again.

Stay from June 23-25. Visiting NJ for a week for work and stayed at various Hilton’s this go round in the Tri-State Area. The hotel is nice and rooms pretty standard. Close to NYC. Great check-in and customer service from Roxanna and Mateo.

Cons: Expressed concerns early on first day about AC in room and was advised that rooms were energy efficient and AC is motion activated. Throughout the night of first stay did not have air and awoke to sweats. Turns out AC was broke and entire floor unit had to be replaced.

The issue arose with management’s response when I went to front desk to inquire about compensation for the a night of inconvenience. I begin to tell the front desk staffer (who turned out to be the manager, Jason)which room I am staying and before I could finish my statement I was interrupted and told unit was being replaced. I had been aware it was replaced by Mateo who did a great job roughly an hour prior. I was then told that I already had a really great room rate and there wasn’t really much that could be done. I replied “so because I had a good rate, I am not entitled to have proper accommodations with air conditioning?” Jason explained he did not mean it like that but could not clarify what his intention was from the initial statement. It does not matter how much I paid for the room. The establishment is obligated to provide working air condition. The problem was further compounded by a poor attitude especially given that I was not liable. I was really in shock by this response and surprised there was not more of a customer centered approach with an apology. which I did not receive during the course of the interaction. Ultimately, he begrudgingly gave some form of compensation for the inconvenience.

This is not the Hilton way at all and I was generally taken back by this experience and the lack of empathy demonstrated. I am truly disappointed and disheartened by this level of customer service from Hilton.

Aside from this isolated incident, I would stay again and recommend this hotel especially if you want easy access to NYC and American Dream Mall.

My wife and I stayed here over the Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day weekend for our trip to take in some theater in NYC. We usually stay in Manhattan, but hotel prices were excessive, so we used Hilton points to stay here. There is a bus stop across the road from the hotel and the frequent buses take 15-30 minutes to the Port Authority. (For us seniors, the fare was $2.35.) Our room was clean, comfortable and larger than we would find in the city, with both a king size bed and a lounger. The included breakfast was a little better than average for this class of hotel. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful.

There are frequent buses which take you from the door of the hotel to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. I believe the bus numbers are 163/164 - you can look up the service times from the NJ Transit website by putting in those bus numbers. If I remember, there were buses every 15 minutes during the daytime - I'd say it is much easier to do the up/down trip by bus than driving.
