The Hilton Meadowlands hotel strikes a chord with concert-goers for its atmosphere, yet the experience is dampened by a lack of warmth due to mixed room features and indifferent staff. While some praise its location for specific attractions, others find it inconvenient, and value is a point of contention with guests citing overpriced amenities and hidden fees. Room comfort is compromised by air conditioning issues and misleading photos.
Service and cleanliness receive inconsistent feedback, with both commendations for helpful staff and criticisms for unresponsiveness and cleanliness concerns. Amenities are a mixed bag, with some appreciating the shuttle service despite other shortcomings.

We booked 3 rooms for a Concert we were attending at MetLife Stadium. I was nervous about the stay, but they really went above and beyond our expectations! The front desk was welcoming, when we got to our room we had an AMAZING view of NYC, great water pressure in the shower and our air conditioning worked great! We did have an issue with our one room not being made up when we got to the room and two of our keys did not work but Joseph (in housekeeping?) helped us get everything straightened out and was so nice! We also got a shuttle right outside the lobby (for a fee) to get to the concert, which was very convenient! I would definitely stay here again.

After reading the poor reviews I was not looking forward to staying here. We stayed 1 night to attend a game at the stadium. We arrived at 2pm which was earlier than check in. We were met by a very friendly front desk agent who let us know our room was ready and we could go up along with our complimentary bottles of water. Our room (610) was very clean, spacious and the a/c worked well. There were a few things that my picky eye noticed that werent peecectly clean like the glass top on the desk and some of the tanle legs but cleaning staff are very busy and most timea under staffed. Yes, the building itself and the rooms are dated but have some upgrades. Appeared to be the furniture and toilet in our room. There was lots of hot water and water pressure too.
The hotel shuttle does not go to the stadium but to places like WalMart and other similar stops. The stadium shuttle is a third party shuttle and costs $10 cash per person each way. The drivers were all friendly, and drop off/pick ups were there to pick everyone up on time.. It's first come, first serve and no pre booking required.
Check out was fast and again met with another very customer service oriented staff member. The location itself is out of the way, so I would stay there again if going to an event.

This was a convenient and decent (though expensive) place to crash after a concert at Metlife, but leaves a lot to be desired for a Hilton-branded hotel. Paint chipping off walls, doors and furniture. Even the soap dish and "privacy" hangtag for the door needed to be replaced and seem like easy fixes to spruce up the place. We were given 2 towels for a 4-person room. Water pressure in shower was the worst I have ever experienced (and I have been to sleepaway camp and youth hostels in Eastern Europe). Shower also got freezing halfway through. The housekeeping staff was yelling to each other down the hallways early in the morning, so not exactly the wake up call we were looking for after a late night. They could definitely be more considerate of guests trying to sleep. That said, the room was clean and the front desk was helpful. Nice to have a Starbucks in the lobby even though the line was 50 people long at 9 a.m. All in all I would have been willing to pay about half of what I actually paid for this hotel experience.

It was a oke stay but definitely not a hilton to these days standards. Im a gold member and did not get recognized apparent from the $30 credits to use for f&b. Biggest problem was the restaurant, The staff of the restaurant, must have hate their job! They where so unfriendly and so unprofessional, the mornings but also at night. We did go every morning for breakfast, they would lead us to a table, then the server would not come to our table, both days we had to walk to the servers to request coffee, we did not leave tip the second day since they even said: “ dont you see im busy doing something “. The evening was even worse, we wanted to get some drinks. We walked in and the lady at the entrance pointed us to one of the lounge sections. After 10 minutes we started to wave at some serving staff of the restaurant but they (two servers that where waiting in front of the big mirror) did not seem to care, i walked to them and asked if we could order something, they literally said:”we are only serving food and drinks you could get at the bar” when i asked if we could order with one of them they said :”no, only at the bar” for a $15 wine exclusive service charge, which we did not get, is very very expensive. The day of checkout we wanted to get starbucks but everything went wrong there too… the power or generator was switching off every 5 minutes and their systems had to restart every time. The wait line was over 20 people because of this.
The room was spacious but very very noisy! Sounded like their was a helicopter next to our window trying to land. We where staying in room 2104 and it was very very noisy, must have been a outside ac unit or something. The body wash was empty upon arrival and requested at the frontdesk to refill the first day, the second day but both times they did not refill and the day of checkout the body wash was still not refilled.
Last bit of criticism; executive lounge is closed, front desk said because and since covid-19 its closed, i think its not fair to use this as an excuse anymore.
All and all not a good place to stay! Avoid this hotel. I will also sent an email to the general manager about my issues and hope they will take action. Management needs to take action!

Great location to MetLife Stadium but that's about it. Our room came with a floor fan because the AC simply made noise. Our room was a balmy 78 when we checked out. I asked the front desk and the guy there claims that the cooling unit for that floor has been acting up. This isn't a new problem as we experienced it back in July of 2022 as well after a concert. So, heat and a lot of noise is what we got for our room after a long day. I would avoid this place from March through October since they are in no rush to fix the AC. Tke kicker is they claimed this was a refurbished room.
Breakfast service was atrocious. No, you can't order from a menu. No, you can't get a second cup of coffee. Yes, you must track someone down just to get your check. I wonder how many people walk out without paying daily. It wasn't that busy but 4 people working the floor and zero attending to the customers.
Small issue but since they don't have physical menus in the room for room service, you need to find the QR code. Instead of being on something that stands up, they put it on the table where the TV is and it blends in. $21 for a mediocre burger, served in a box was outrageous.
Lastly, they advertise that they have EV charging. They have one. It's incredibly slow, requires an app I have never heard of and they charge $3 per hour in advance. No other app makes you pick a charging time and make you pay in full on time. I have stayed at several other Hiltons and they all seem to have 4 chargers with no fees. Also, sign says Chargepoint but it's not.

Numerous previous reviews state that the air conditioning was a problem. The issue still hasn’t been resolved. 78 degrees when we walked into our room. We were on the 10th floor and the ice machine wasn’t working. The closest ice machine was on the 6th floor. The bathroom faucet cold knob was stripped and would turn on the cold water. The television’s are outdated and not even smart TVs.

We were assigned room 404 which is an oddly shaped so that with no air conditioning and no way to open the windows we were forced to endure a hot, airless room. The room’s configuration did not allow for the noisy built in fan to circulate the air and both my 82 year old husband and I had trouble breathing. When we arrived we were not told of the air conditioning problem and not given any water, only after I tried calling guest services to find out about the air conditioning and no one picked up the phone did I go downstairs to find a long line of angry guests and a single frazzled young lady behind the desk trying to cope with the irate guests. The front desk informed me no additional fans were available though as I boarded the elevator another guest boarded carrying one.
The room was unsatisfactory in almost every other way, too. There was no coffee pot. The door lock did not initially work, and the sounds of our noisy neighbors echoed in the small hallway.
I might also add that there was insufficient help at the restaurant and it was nearly impossible to get a meal. We never saw a server. A young manager finally came and took our order and it was suggested that we not order a full meal as it would likely not come out for a while.
All in all this was the single most disappointing hotel experience I have ever had.

AC continues to broken as per previous reviews. Room 78F with full blast fan. Not addressed by staff. They stated it was a whole hotel problem and there was nothing they could do- supposedly working on HVAC servicing. Asked if I could move to a different room on a lower floor in hopes that there would be more airflow and was not given a response at all- simply ignored. Did not offer any solutions or discounts, frankly not really even apologetic. Front desk was clearly having a bad day dealing with all the complaints but I felt as they were unnecessarily dismissive.
Additionally TV not working correctly- only has 6 channels (assuming air antenna channels) and would not access TV guide, guest service menu, on demand entertainment menu, or room service menu. Didn’t have the heart to ask about TV with all the other issues. I have stayed in this hotel prior in a functional room so I know these have been working prior.
Also no microwave or ice bucket in room (I can’t remember if there were microwaves before). Mold on ceiling in front of AC vent. Usually I’d let little things like this go but the culmination of everything is upsetting. Here on business and it’s difficult to get adequate rest with the heat. Only silver lining is cleaning staff is very polite and kind. Stuck for 2 additional nights so will try to readdress with staff and update if there is any resolution.
Had a lovely stay last time (when hotel was at lower capacity and it wasn’t height of summer/heat wave). Hilton clearly isn’t supporting this location well enough. Needs an update in systems and a good clean.

The location is not walking distance to anything. There’s a shuttle that will take you to the train station, Walmart and American Dream mall. I think this the only plus in my opinion. The room needs an upgrade. My biggest disappointment was there was no REFRIGERATOR in the room. A microwave I can maybe understand, which by the way is in the lobby (crazy). When I brought it the front desk the gentleman replied “o yes some of the rooms don’t have them”. So the fact that the hotel knows this and there’s nothing noted when you make your reservations got me boiling and nothing was done to make my stay better. Also at this hotel they do charge for breakfast, I believe it was $20 a person where I’ve stayed at a different Hilton and it was complementary. I definitely won’t be staying here again. I’ve also reached out to Hilton with no response and we stayed there the beginning of April.

My family and I traveled to the area to visit American Dream and New York City. The staff was pleasant. However, our room's lack of cleanliness was very disappointing. I have been a Hilton Honors member since 2014, staying at several properties, and always prefer to choose Hilton. This property was the most unclean Hilton I have stayed in. Outside of being outdated we noticed several areas of high concern. There were areas of previous spills that had not been addressed (the elevator, door trims of the rooms, missing numbers on the room plates). We noticed large amounts of visible dust on our wall, accumulated dust around the ice tray, glasses and coffee maker. There were areas that appeared to be black mold in the bathroom between the door trim and shower tile and between the tile in the shower. The bathroom light fixture was badly rusted containing two bright white light bulbs and one yellow light bulb. The leather headboards were severely scratched up. The dark brown carpet had two large stains. Due to the convenience of the hotel to our interests and having two children and multiple bags my family endured the stay to avoid multiple moves to another room or hotel. It's ridiculous for this hotel to be located in the same parking lot as a business building (business travelers), across the highway from MetLife stadium and American Dream, and very close to NYC and be this poorly maintained.
