I rarely write reviews online, but feel I need to take them time to do this as a warning. The pictures on the website are most likely very old, and of course descriptions are totally subjective, as is this review. We were booked for the garden room. Upon entering you are overcome with the smell of mildew and some kind...

Great vista from the deck and the room. Gracious hosts, good food and a thorough compliment of thoughtful amenities, including a loaner beach pass. A few good restaurants in the area, but all in all a somewhat sleepy local nightlife. The nearby ferry can also take you to NYC and back, or even Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.

We enjoyed our one night stay here as a break from time in Manhattan and the ferry ride is a particular pleasure. The owners picked us up from the ferry port and showed us around the town and all the post hurricane work that has been done as well as the wide variety of restaurants. Room was comfortable but the...

Bob & Gloria are terrific hosts at their gorgeous B&B. The house is very charming & comfortable & the views are stunning - on top of a hill, overlooking forest and ocean. We stayed in Precious Moments room: glorious views from the private deck & the oversized bathtub! They have bikes available free of charge & Gloria is like a...

I just noticed that I didn't rate this B&B. We stayed here last summer for 2 nights. It took us a few minutes to locate the manor. You have to drive through a school parking lot to get to the driveway. The place was a bit out dated which gave it a quaint great-grandma's house appeal. The gentleman that co-own's...

August 11-13, 2014 This was our first time staying at this B&B. We arrived before check-in and was graciously given a beach pass for the afternoon. We had good intention of riding our bikes back & forth to the beach, but once you get off the bridge from the beach, it is a constant incline up to the B&B. I...

It’s all in the ambience. Appreciate this B&B for its location on the hillside, great view of Sandy Hook and beyond, and the complimentary wine, coffee, tea, and soft drinks encouraging you to relax in the sitting room or out on the deck with a glass of something you enjoy in your hand. This homey B&B has a cozy sitting...

We visit this place at least on a year because we love this place. This was our first time staying in the plain and fancy room which is was nice. We still prefer the garden room which is very private and secluded from the rest of the house but the plain and fancy room was very nice. The fridge in...

We went with great expectations on a weekend getaway celebrating my birthday and our wedding the week earlier. We had informed Gloria regarding this and also requested breakfast in bed which never came. The property owners & innkeeper were not welcoming or friendly in that sense. We paid a huge amount of $ 250 per night as we went with...

I stayed here recently ( and sadly) due to the passing of a beloved aunt who resided in the area. I actually knew about this B and B because it was not far from my aunt's condo, but I never stayed there. When I explained to Gloria why I was in the area, she gave me a reduced price for my...

“Room vary in size, in bed type, with or without private decks, and bathrooms vary in size and amenities. Check the web site or call to get the details. I loved the Hartshorne room, large room with king bed and big private deck. That trumped smaller room with large bathroom with Jacuzzi tub for me.”
