The bed was comfortable... not bad for a motel. Price was as expected but it is located in an urban area....which if you're not from here may be uncomfortable... here you get what you pay for. Listen I've stayed at many places... the rooms are better than some 3, 4 star hotels in the area.

I've stayed here twice as an overnight for an early morning flight out of Newark Airport - price being the determining factor. You don't get a lot of amenities, but you get something I value even more: Integrity. I lost my iPod here last week, inadvertently leaving it behind when I checked out at 6 am. I searched all over, in vain, and then called the hotel from Jamaica to ask if they, perchance, had it - they did. I then arranged for a handover the following week when I returned, passing through the airport. I thought this would be problematic, at best, but it went off without a hitch. They sent the shuttle over to the airport (P4), where I met the driver and he handed over the device, and I handed over a tip for the outstanding service. That all counts a whole lot more than fancy amenities in my book. This is a good place to stay, and you have my word on it. Integrity.

The hotel staff were lovely, very helpful and rooms are spacious and well appointed, the whole place is very jaded, but comfortable. There is no lounge, just a small breakfast room, which was overheated and unbearable to spend much time in. We were told by a taxi driver not to leave the hotel at night, as the town is too dangerous. We encountered a couple clearly high on drugs in the breakfast room and a poor vagrant lady barged in and stole some bread, very upsetting. On the flip side, they run a free shuttle to the airport every 30mins and you can get a $5 ride to Jersey Gardens Mall from there. So if you are brave, need a cheap and convenient stop over, it's fine. I personally found the confinement very restricting.

i was recommended, for some unimaginable reason, to stay at this place at a layover at La Guardia. FIrst of all it was VERY far from the airport so the taxi cost a fortune. Second of all it was the most horrible, nasty dump I have ever had to misfortune to stay at. Once I was there it was late and I was stuck as it is in some neighborhood where there were no other options. There were coked up people running in the halls, homeless people with babies, the breakfast was not available, the shuttle to the airport was late and just showed up at random, the receptionist is behind bullet proof glass. I could go on but you get the picture. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!

I'm very disappointed it took seven month to write a review. Also our property do not catering the kind of clientele. This is a hotel and our locations is an urban area the doesn't mean the hotel is located in a bad area. We are really sorry the we didn't meet your expectation . Our breakfast is complimentary and is continental. If you would call us and ask how far la Guardia was from our hotel we would have told you not to stay with us and advice you to stay close in Queen, NY.We really sorry the you have to pay too much just for traveling from NY to NJ we know how expensive it is.We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you went through. And I wish you a Happy and wonderful Merry Christmas! Sincerely; C. Rivera

The location of this place will definitely make you wary. The fact that the desk staff is behind bullet-proof glass says it all. Here's my suggestion if you're on your way in to NYC. Take the free hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Spend the night there but you'll look around and realize that you won't dare walk around the area. Next morning, take the free shuttle back to the airport and take the train from there into NYC. You'll save money without putting yourself in danger. The room itself, believe it or not, was acceptable.
