I'd like to commend the front desk reception and housekeeping for their friendliness, professionalism, and courteous manner. As a solo traveler, the front desk staff went out of their way to help me as much as possible. A very special thanks to Nada who helped take care of all of my hotel requests during my stay. She was a great help in making my stay as convenient and smooth as possible, specifically in helping to accommodate an unexpected flight delay. The excellent customer service made up for the less than desirable hotel conditions.

The hotel location itself is conveniently located next to many good restaurants, Journal Square, and is close to the airport, but isn't in the nicest area. While the hotel room was clean, tidy, and surprisingly spacious, the hotel on the whole is need of a serious remodeling. Walls are a bit thin and I occasionally would hear other guests in adjacent rooms yelling and having arguments, although thankfully these were brief and didn't keep me awake. I didn't encounter any mice or bed bugs which is a huge plus given what I've read about other hotels in the NY great metropolitan area. The room smelled clean and looked clean, and housekeeping did a great job turning down and cleaning daily. The free breakfast is sparse but satisfactory, and provided all the basic necessities I would need in a breakfast.

Overall, I had a good stay in large part because of the customer service. Thank you!

Queen room was actually a 'suite' with two rooms/beds - so plenty of room. Fridge/microwave/coffee maker. Rooms are a bit outdated, particularly the bathroom (which was small) but everything has been very well maintained and kept meticulously clean so overall quite comfortable. Short walk to Journal Square PATH station for easy access to Manhattan.

Gym was not open due to Covid. Breakfast was ok but only disposable plates/cutlery provided.

This hotel has neither the benefit of central Manhatten location, nor the decor of a modern hotel. It is a budget hotel in premises that would love to see interior refurbishment. However, it is ideally located near to Path system making it easy to access from Newark and into both downtown and midtown Manhatten.
Our room was exceptionally spacious and cleaned every day. Water is hot and WiFi worked well. Staff are functional, without being too friendly or engaging. A breakfast was unexpectedly provided, but it was very basic and served with single use plastic that does not appear to be recycled at all.
Overall, with the crazy NY prices that exist everywhere this seems like a good value option if not a hotel experience to remember forever.

I read some bad reviews and chalked it up to people expecting too much from the hotel. I should have listened and you should listen to my review and go elsewhere. I am literally lying in the bed typing this now. It couldn't wait. No on-site parking, you have to walk down a sketchy street to get your car($24 per day for self parking)
There was exactly 2 parking spaces to park fir check in. One is occupied by a shuttle so there is one space. It's a busy street with one lane each way so getting into the one space was difficult. The area seems less than desirable. Low end shops and fast food. Crazy guy screamed at my wife and I so she wanted to come back to the hotel. I wouldn't be comfortable having my wife or kids here by themselves.
Finally the room SUCKS, the bed is decent, bathroom seems ok. But it smells like mold. I feel like I am in basement that recently flooded. I am on the 5th floor not near the basement. Looks like an extremely cheap room makeover. Painted over damaged doors and walls. When I first stepped into the room it felt like I was going to fall thru the floor. A big super soft spot under the carpet. One of the dressers is missing the top drawer. I don't think the heat is working, it's 62 in the room and like 50 outside.

You can tell they tried to cover the smell with something but it's not working. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more and stay somewhere nicer. Good luck

My cousin booked two rooms here through an OTA and Miguel from the front desk was kind enough to get us two adjacent rooms, so it's easier to coordinate with the families. We were eight in total.

The place is old and a bit run down, but decently maintained. It's no frills, but the location is unbeatable, especially for those passing by New York and flying to and from Newark. I was told there's a free shuttle for Newark passengers and there's a dashboard of flights to and from the airport in the small lobby of the hotel.

Breakfast (see images) is also no-frills, but good enough. The wifi is fantastic! Blazing in my opinion.

One gripe though is the offsite parking, which a family member needed to use. It's NOT the easiest to navigate or find, especially if you have big groups or multiple vehicles and would need to load/unload at rush hours.

I understand Covid is going on. When I walked into my room after checking in there no towels in the bathroom. I can live with that but when I went down to ask for a glass for a drink mind me even a disposable glass to have a drink the guy ( CARLOS) at the reception simply said we don’t have anything or any glasses for you even disposable ones. I am a Marriott member but I wanted to try Wyndham properties because I was In the area but I learned my lesson stay with Marriott always. Service sucks here at this property.

I stayed 3 days in this place, I have submitted request to Reception - 1. From day one itself TV was not working, 2. Needs two towels since I have family of four. (I have to purchase from outside and manage)
No replay and no update.
Since hotel is at prime location, staff do not care about the service request or any input from customer.

Please avoid if you have choice of other hotels nearby; Rooms are old and run down with overgrown plants and trees on the walls of balconies, broken furntiures. Unhygenic elevator. Very rude staff who frown on any questions asked.

We chose this hotel because of the convenience to NYC. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a spacious room. The furniture was a bit updated but the room was very clean and the beds was comfortable. They offer complimentary breakfast, fresh juices and coffee it was perfect, enough to get you started for the day. I would definitely stay again at this hotel.
