I booked a room here strictly on the view. The view in all the photos looks gorgeous. When we got there, not so great! The Hudson River is no where near The Double Tree for one. Unless maybe you are on the 20th floor, then...More
This is a cost effective way of staying in the New York City area. Recommend asking for a room with a view of New York City....its beautiful. Public transportation is nearby if you don't want to drive into New York City.More

The hotel staff was great on arriving. The room was nice and big and newly done. I had problems with the internet and the front desk was wonderful in helping me. We were with a large group and they helped us get around the town...More

On this trip staying at the doubletree we drove into Manhattan. I previously have camped nearby at Liberty Harbor RV park and my family with teenagers walked the few blocks to the Path station. The ride under the Hudson seemed quick.....10 to 20 minutes at most. The takes you right to the World Trade Center station. I am not sure if the walk time from the doubletree to the PATH but that is easy to research. If it isn’t far then your plan is great. We walked to the mall from this Hotel and it is safe and clean. I think there is a path station there.
