This review is only my experience after 3 weeks in this place. Not a good one.manager prefers work crews in the area opposed to single business people. Many things went wrong in my room as well as on the property however he always had some excuse. The straw that made me leave was that every weekend there were free for alls and no supervision. People would be drunk and smoking pot and noone in the hotel told them to stop. I was told that I would have a quiet apt for anger stay. Every weekend I got no sleep. One night 2 girls checked in at midnight and kept me up all night which caused me to miss a meeting. The sales woman told me there were no one bedrooms available that weekend so people had to be put in the room under me. Not true. I checked on line I was able to book 3 one bedrooms available. I would never check in with children or even business men. This place is good for truckers only.also truckers were washing their trucks in the small parking lot on weekends. All this place want is too fill rooms. They don't care with whom.…
I arrived on Monday night March 2nd at around 8 pm. The staff member behind the desk was helpful, quick and extremely friendly. Since it was work and sleep, I did not use any of the amenities offered by the hotel. I found the room to be comfortable and clean. Next time i need to stay in Morris County, I will look here first.
I've stayed at this hotel several times over several years. This time I've reached the point where I won't stay until the hotel is renovated. The concept is great. A large room with a partial kitchen area designed for longer stays. I like it because I have a full-size refrigerator in the room. The Candlewood Cupboard is great because I can pick up reasonably priced food and snacks at my convenience. But the facility is showing its age. I was originally checked into a Queen studio suite. The room was fine except for the smell of long use and a non-working ice maker in the fridge. Unfortunately at 10pm I was getting ready for bed and went to flush the toilet and the handle broke just inside the tank from plastic fatigue. I contacted the front desk and they agreed to move me to another room. But the night manager was alone and told me that I had to come to the desk to get the new keys and move myself. I lost an hour of sleep for that. Both rooms had that musty long-use smell. Both rooms had chips in the formica on the desk/dresser. Both rooms had a hard-water stained shower head. The toilets clog easily. I'll be happy to try the Candlewood brand elsewhere, or return here after a renovation. But I can't recommend it now.…
Stayed here many times as it is far less expensive than others in the area. There are some limitations such as there is no daily maid service and no bar or restaurant on site. But the rooms are large, spacious and clean
My husband and I stayed here for 10 days, while visiting family & friends and attending our high school reunions. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, as we requested a different room due to our need for a separate bedroom. Donna Malkowski met with us personally to be sure we were happy with the accommodations. We are planning to visit NJ in December and have already made our reservations. The free laundry (bring your own detergent) is so helpful, and the 'food pantry' had some great selections at reasonable prices. When we first arrived, we noticed a food odor in one of the corridors - this was to be expected, as the suites have kitchens - but the rooms themselves were clean with plenty of towels. Highly recommend this place.
