Don't stay to this hotel, very poor maintenance in the hotel. hotel room toilet flush broken next morning. Location is not good even, not recommended for family. Front desk area smell bad when we enter in the hotel. I regret that i booked this hotel for one night stay. I will never book room in the best western hotel in the future.
Over all this the Best Option IN EWR region. Very well connected the the airport. Shuttle service is good. Restaurant is good though not in operation at present. Clean and quite rooms, well decorated. Need to reduce price!
Hotel was good, breakfast was good, room was comfortable for family of 7. The only negative will be towels were with dirty stain felt nasty, we asked for Xtra blanket never got it. Staff were friendly. Will stay again but take my own towel.
Chanel in the restaurant was AWESOME, probably the best part of my stay, and the gal (or gals if more than 1) who ran breakfast were super friendly and nice. Those folks were VERY kind and it felt like they enjoyed their work. The rest of the hotel and restaurant staff were "nice" but it felt like they were obligated to be so and they didn't want to be there, kind of like it was an imposition to do anything, which reflected on my experience. The other bartender was terrible all the way around. Food was decent, but the "land and sea" was overpriced and the "premium steak" was definitely not premium although it tasted good. My room, 408, was fine (kind of) but it was only cleaned ONCE in 7 days and was in need of repairs. The a/c unit worked well but had a really noisy compressor, the bathroom fan was in dire need of replacement (likely fire hazard), tub faced the wrong way for the faucet location which had a weird feel when showering, the sink had a broken hot water handle, the closet door was janky with a loose handle, and there was an issue with the grout around the tub falling out. And not to nitpick, but the ceiling in the main area had bad lines where the drywall was taped. Not a major issue, but it makes the hotel look trashy. Outside, the parking lot was a mess with angled parking and only 1 way in/out that was often blocked by the shuttle van and some idiot guest waiting on someone. Also, the vending machine is in need of repair. It tried to dispense a water bottle but the bottle never dropped to the delivery spot. The clerk gave me $3 to try again, and it did work the 2nd time but he mentioned this is an ongoing issue. Just fix it! The restaurant was reasonable other than what I mentioned earlier, BUT table placement left some hanging lights in a walkway so several people, including myself, hit their head on the lampshades in the restaurant and in the waiting area just outside of it. It's broken glass waiting to happen. Also, there was a loose piece of trim lying on the floor by the orange juice dispenser that made the place feel trashy and dirty. On the plus side, the room looked nice (other than what I stated before) and it was pretty quiet (BIG plus!). I liked the tile in the bathroom, the floors, and the furniture. And the fridge worked well. Overall, it's was okay-ish for a "dumpy roadside motel", but below expectations for a "Plus" hotel and especially after having paid $1300 for my stay.…
Close to the Statue of Liberty State Park. At the park you can get tickets to the Statue of Liberty. Large room. Great breakfast. Staff was helpful & polite. Quite area. Area with desk & extra sitting chair.
The hotel was clean and employees helpful and courteous. My granddaughter left her teddy bear there. I called the hotel and they shipped the teddy bear at no cost to us. MJ, the manager, was so helpful in getting it sent. The continental breakfast was nice as well.
Do not stay here! It was filthy and they had roaches the size of my thumb! The showers were not installed properly and falling apart and there sinks wouldn’t drain. The floor of the hotel room was filthy. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking and slamming doors.
The manager, EJ (hope I got that right), was very helpful, and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good, and offered sufficient variety. The manager, and staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast buffet was good. This thing won't allow me to submit my review unless it's 200 words/spaces? Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Did that do it?
The room was convenient and affordable for Newark airport. Staff was very helpful and breakfast waffles were great. Location is landlocked and no place to walk. A hotel shuttle to pick up from long term parking lot for an extra fee would be helpful.
The walls are thin and our next door neighbor had the music on full blast. We ended up with 1.5 hours of sleep before our flight. The beds were so uncomfortable and you felt every move of the person next to you. Someone was smoking and it came in through our air conditioning. Strong smell of pot every time you walked out the door. The vehicle for the shuttle to the airport was horrible, bounced all over the place. I was very nervous that I had to leave my car keys for the park and ride. I've never been asked for that before. They did move my car, but I'm not sure why. They messed with my display. Only good thing was the wait staff at the bar/grill place and the driver was nice.
