This is a great hotel. This is the 3rd or 4th time staying here prior to leaving out of Newark Airport. Every time the staff is attentive and friendly. Rooms are always clean. Bar folks are good. Van driver is helpful and always on time. Can't ask for more than great service and clean rooms. Will be back again on our next trip.

Hotel's Favourite
Long transit through Newark Airport so required a hotel close to the airport. The hotel provides free transfers although when I tried to call the hotel from the airport, did not get a response so took a 10 minutes taxi ride over. Check in was efficient and the room I was allocated was surprisingly large. Given the rate I paid, it was good value for money. Location is not the best given there is not much of interest walking distance from the hotel. But if you’re just looking for a comfortable hotel whilst transiting at Newark, this is a good option. Took the complimentary shuttle back to Newark the next day.

We did our first reverse park and fly out of Newark airport. A friend recommended the Best Western Plus. The manager, Pedro and the shuttle manager. Manuel were both great! We would highly recommend their hotel and services. We will definitely use them again.

As a customer service professional for over 35 years, I am always impressed with organizations that focus on ways to exceed customer expectations and deliver services in a consistent fashion. This particular BW hotel clearly understands the needs of those guests expecting a comfortable, clean and efficient travelling experience. My experience at "airport" hotels has often been mediocre or indifferent because of the high occupancy and demand. In other words, there can on occasion be a revolving door of guests mentality with the staff, and this results in average service. This hotel never disappoints when it comes to delivering a quality product, as well as a genuine hospitality experience. It is obvious that the leadership team at this hotel emphasizes the importance of value and guest service instead of simply going through the motions. There are many hotels to choose from when wanting to be near Newark airport, and I am glad that I found one that meets or exceeds my expectations on a consistent basis. I look forward to my next stay in NJ and will definitely be returning to the BW Plus Newark Airport West. …

Not a place to bring the family. Active prostitution going on with employees aware. Not worth the money at all. Hallways were loud at all hours, commonways reeked of weed. TV has no streaming services available. Breakfast is not included don't be fooled like I was....Definitely not worth it.

This was a very nice and clean hotel! We had one small issue with the tv but the manager did what he could and made up for it! Our room was a great size and had everything we needed. We will keep this hotel on our list to stay again!

The building smells like cigarettes and marijuana. Our first room we were given smelled so bad that I literally gagged when we first walked into it. I had to get them to give me a different room, which was better but still had an odor to it. Being it was going on 1am and I had already been traveling for 14 hours that day, we just dealt with it. Breakfast is annoying because they require you to have a ticket to get food, but you don't find that out until you go in and look for a plate. They keep the plates locked up and will only hand you one if you have a ticket. So you have to make a trip back to the front desk and tell them that you need breakfast tickets, and then go back. The whole thing was very odd. Maybe they could think ahead and actually hand them to you when you check in.…

The customer service at this hotel is the worst. We had been traveling for over 24hrs from Europe and we just needed a place to shower and relax for a few hours before checking back in. We could for the shuttle and was told one was one the way. Well 30 mins go by and the shuttle still hadn’t made its 8min trip from the hotel. We call again and then get a lie saying they had sent the shuttle and it came back empty. Then the story changed from the front desk and we are told it comes every half and hour (which was another lie). About 4 shuttle busses for every other hotel in the area would show up about every 10 mins or so. Ours never showed up and we it finally did over an hour and half later, people jumped the line and the bus just took off. One of those guest even knocked down my friend to get on the bus. The hotel refused to send another so I asked for a refund which the front desk claimed he could not authorize. You’re the front desk that’s part of your job and especially if you are working the late shift you have some authority. I’m waiting to see if the management will get back to me on a refund. Stay clear of this hotel.…

This hotel has incorrect description on Kayak. It says “Comfortable Bed, Good Breakfast, Good Shuttle”. It has very very spongy mattresses. Breakfast is not included in the rate (no rate option is shown in the selection which has breakfast when you check out). From a look and feel perspective (as compare to photographs on booking website), this hotel for sure didn’t match our expectations of Best Western Plus or any other $200/ night rate hotels in the area. We suggest to pay $20 extra and go with other big brand hotels.
