#1 of 20 B&Bs / Inns in Ocean City
Experience Ocean City's Historic District by staying at a Victorian house continuously operated as an inn since 1895. Each room is individually decorated and offers the feel of visiting a friend's home while offering the privacy, convenience, and comfort of an inn. Sne, the new innkeeper, serves up a grab-and-go continental breakfast in the mornings, and plenty of refreshments and conversation on the wraparound porch in the evenings. Gatherings are social yet socially distant. Enjoy free parking, beach badges (when you book directly over the phone or on the inn's website), and free breakfast. Just a short walk to the boardwalk, beach, and Asbury Avenue shopping district. Atlantic City and Cape May are short drives away.

The inn keeper had taken over the B&B within the last year. He was an excellent host. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The huge front porch was a welcoming place to relax or work. The inn is only two blocks from the board walk and near fabulous restaurants. We can't wait to go back next year.

What a wonderful mini vacation! If you love old Victorians by the beach, this is the perfect spot. Two blocks gets you to the beach, the boardwalk or shopping. I don’t have to tell you what’s great about the beach and the boardwalk but, if you are new to Ocean City, Asbury Ave shopping is the best with locally owned shops that are reasonably priced. You’ve got countless dining options at your fingertips. All this, and yet the hotel is quiet. Good conversation can be found on the porch over coffee in the morning and beverages in the evening. It also is a lovely place to sit in a rocker and watch a thunderstorm roll through. If COVID halted your travel plans, take a few days to soak in all Ocean City has to offer. Many people have nostalgia for OC, I really enjoyed doing the things I loved to do as a kid with my own kids. I’m leaving feeling rejuvenated and happy. Just don’t let seagulls get your boardwalk treat!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I love hosting guests that were regular Ocean City-goers as kids. I hope the four of you consider Scarborough Inn your Ocean City home these days.

My sister and I have just returned from a delightful four day stay at Scarborough Inn. Everything about our stay was top notch. The Inn is, yes, old (1895) but it is also cozy, quaint and charming. Over time, it has gone through modernizations and updates and we understand there may be more to come. It has lost none of its charm post-updating. Relaxing on the wrap-around porch, listening to the innkeeper’s delightful jazz play list, and reading away an afternoon just can’t be beat. The innkeeper, Sne, is gracious and accommodating. We understand he has been on board for only a few months but he has brought to the position a keen eye for efficiency, coupled with an excellent understanding of what true customer service is. Thank you, Sne. You made our first visit to Scarborough Inn truly memorable. We plan to return.

My wife and I spent a night in the Scarborough Inn following a long weekend with family in Ocean City. What a wonderful place! It has a delightful charm that you won't find in the chain hotels. The Innkeeper, Sne, is a very gracious gentleman, and did everything he could to give us a delightful stay. Although some of the amenities were limited by the restrictions of the quarantine, we were welcomed and well cared for. We highly recommend the Scarborough Inn!

So glad we chose to stay at the Scarborough Inn. Felt like a step back in time (in a good way) but with modern amenities (e.g. WiFi). The Inn is full of character and delightful to the senses. Our room was large, immaculate, and very comfortable. Location is great---very short walk to a number of breakfast spots and not much further to the boardwalk and beach. New owner Sne is very welcoming and hospitable. We will return for another weekend soon!
