OVR is clearly the best campground resort I've been so far. I mean, I've been to campgrounds in New York, Pennsylvania, and other parts of NJ since I live about 15 minutes from NYC. But they aren't the same as this one.

Firstly, it ticks all the rights boxes when it comes to not being bored. Fun things going on over there is the splash pad, and the pool. My 2 kids love it and so do I. The pool is huge, warm, and clean which would assume that the staff cleans it daily. The splash pad boasts many features to make the children entertained and happy in that area like; a pirate ship playground slide, a big skeleton bucket that dumps on your head, some loop rings, water cannons, and a little water path with colors. The water is kind of cold, but it sure is refreshing.

Interestingly, the beach was not that far, which we enjoy going to. the lighthouse and zoo were cool to go and checkout.

Plus, there are some extras there like a tram, with a view of almost the whole resort going through Greenbriar Rd, a lake, which is a calmer version of the beach with wildlife like ducks, geese, and turtles. There is a mini golf course included. [It was fun and affordable too! unlike most mini golf courses.] There was an OVR store at the entrance for stuff you need, and an Ice cream location at the small pavilion at the entrance.

But, for the most part, this campground has everything you need for the stay!

Lastly, we have a dog, so we had to buy a camper for other previous campgrounds. A 2010 Rockwood Roo 19 by Forest River travel trailer with 2 popup tents with queen sized beds. [It's not really that big.] A few weeks before, we listed going for 2 weeks and they spared no time looking for a location for us! We got a spot not that far from the entrance. [TR19] Although we were put in front of a pond that had many mosquitos and bugs, we don't mind at all. [It's their nature.]

Overall, we had an excellent vacation at OVR, and I gave it 5 stars for many reasons. Including the others at the start of this review, the staff was very nice and cleaned the area very well before we got to our campsite, the location was at a corner, meaning that it was big, and having no trouble to park the camper. After the experience, my family has made a decision.

We are definitely coming back next year for another stay!

What a wonderful gem! Everything about our stay was top notch. They have so much to do on site - lake and beach, arcade, mini golf, pool, beautiful scenery, cafe and ice cream shop and a wonderful camp store. Every staff member was so helpful and friendly, everything was very clean (including the bath houses), and maneuvering around was simple. We've never stayed at a resort that did not allow golf carts, but having now stayed at OVR, I can say it was nice to see people biking and walking and to NOT have the noise and congestion of carts. The location was perfect for day tripping along the Jersey shore. We cannot wait to return. Thanks OVR for our best-ever camping experience.

We had a wonderful experience at this campground. Our site was a lake view site and while there was a lot of sand I knew this ahead of time and was prepared. The natural setting of the site was lovely - we had great shade and since we only have a 27ft travel trailer we had no issues getting into the site. The swimming lake was a big hit with my boys and we enjoyed playing games on the quiet end of the beach area which was only steps from our campsite. The camp store was huge and was fun to browse through. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly. It’s a great location as we took advantage of the great things to do in the area as well. Sea Isle City beach is wonderful and we did a fishing charter out of Stone Harbor. We plan on coming back to this campground next year.

Chose Ocean View Resort as our first camping experience in our new trailer. The amenities is what lured us in as we’re new campers in COVID times while still trying to provide some normalcy for our toddlers. We came with family and was able to get 3 sites side by side in Greenbriar, a few sites away from the fishing pond. With 4 toddlers, they loved watching the tram go by at night but also riding around and “sightseeing”. The operators wiped after each round trip and had families sit every other row. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t perfect for the pool and lake but we still went for a little bit. The kids loved the pirate ship! It was cold but at least the pool was warm so we ended up in there instead. The store within the gates has everything you need. We also visited the store right outside the campground. I wish we stayed longer and am hoping we’ll be able to come back again before the end of the season! While we’re still trying to find other campgrounds to visit, I’m afraid we’ve set the bar high starting out at OVR!

This is a very nice campground. We have a lot of nice neighbors and recently moved trailers. It has an amazing lake, a SUPERB pool, and it's just generally a nice relaxing trip. We really love being there, but we have had a bad experience. We got a plumber (who apparently did work for the campground) , and he promised to show us how to replace the cushions on the kitchen chairs. He didn't. He also wasn't polite, and barely fixed it. But, we still moved into a new one. 8.5/10 will go again.

From reservations to check out, everything was simple, comfortable and easy! Well laid out campground with many seasonal and transient campsites and plenty of restrooms, shower houses and laundry facilities. Everywhere was clean, well maintained and modern. The camp store has just about anything you could need with an RV supplies store right out front of the entrance. The pool and splash pad were a huge bonus.

As new travel trailer owners this was the 3rd RV park we have been to. We really liked this campground. The lake was awesome, you really feel like your on vacation at a beach. We stayed at site B25 and it was spacious and just a 5 min walk to the lake. Pool wasn’t open yet due to covid but it looked nice. My wife and I are looking forward to returning later in the summer.

Nice campground, good amenities, Clean bathhouses.
Relatively quiet considering the size of it. Rates for rv site were good as well.
Close enough to beaches.
Sites in our section were a little tight, including our corner lot, especially if you have a few kids along, or like to play cornhole or the like you may be pressed for space.
Evenings and mornings were much quieter than were used to in campgrounds which I appreciated.
We will visit again.

Nice campground on route 9. Located between Ocean City, New Jersey, and Wildwood, New Jersey and only 5 minutes from Sea Isle. Had full hook ups, nice camp store, clean bathrooms, and activities. Would stay here again.

We booked for the week before July 4th for a 7 night stay. What a disappointment! First, this is a place where there are 1175 sites and only maybe 100 or so are for campers, the rest are all seasonal (very similar to mobile homes). If you take a ride many are almost falling fown and have garbage all around them. As for camping, people on here are right when they say there is nothing to do. Most all places we stay have activities. Not here, only the swimming lake which does have paddle boats, a game room, and shuffleboard. The baseball field is overgrown with weeds and is being used as a storage facility for broken down trailers. I was charged an additional $50 for my third child. And a friend came to visit for one night with his son and was charged $36 when we called the office and asked what the charge was for and why the booklet said it was only $20 they were nasty and said we are not refunding any of the money. Bathrooms by our site closed at 7pm. No planned activities for kids. Mini Golf was horrible. Paid $4 per person for a little, dirty course. Paid 4.50 at the boardwalk the next day for an 18 hole pirate adventure. Nothing here to do but the lake. We stayed here also because of the no drinking in public places policy but this also was a lie. There was so much drinking on the beach it was annoying for those of use who don't drink. Also, the places was dirty. People not cleaning up after there pets, trash outside the dumpsters no trash pickup at your site. All in all paid almost $600 for 7 nights and got a lake to swim in. Disappointment. And all but the guard shack employees were nasty. Never again. Don't listen to these people who talk how great this place is. People live here and I only saw one set up for tent camping. Also paid extra for a lake front site and had a view of a building and bushes.
