In my opinion this is a great deal. Parking at port would have cost us $400. The package cost a little under $400 and included 1 night at the hotel (Hilton Garden Inn), breakfast (both buffet and off the menu), parking for the length of the cruise and a shuttle both to and from the pier. The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms were large, clean and perfect for our getaway. The rooms had a large bathroom, TV, microwave, refrigerator, desk and comfortable beds. It had a workout room, pool and hot tub. There was water, coffee and tea in the lobby. The lobby in the hotel has a small bar/lounge area and some great places to relax and socialize. We were there during the Christmas season this year and it was beautifully decorated. The breakfast was very good and had a nice variety of food. My car was safe all cruise. The shuttle to the pier and back worked flawlessly last cruise but had some issues this time. The biggest difference from this year and last year was the shuttle service. Not sure, but I think they may have changed the shuttle service since last year. Last year we could pick our shuttle time to the port and this year we were locked into a 10:30am slot, not a big deal. The biggest difference was the service itself. I think there was a very large group on the cruise package this year. I was told that over 30 rooms were rented for the package this year. Several vans arrived at the hotel at one time and each person was assigned a van to bring their luggage to and they were supposed to ride with their luggage, makes sense right? For some reason people were being directed to the wrong vans and luggage was being moved all over the place. One family had the bulk of their luggage in one van and their group spread across 3 other vans. Hopefully this will be straightened out soon? The other bigger problem this year was the pickup. We were all supposed to be at the meeting spot by 10:30am. We were all there by 10am. For some reason only one van arrived, took the first group and told us the other van would be there in 5 minutes. It was supposed to be a 10:30am pickup but the second van didn’t get there until 11:25am almost an hour later. Last year we were told to meet the van across the street and he was there waiting for us, this year they picked us up on the same side of the street that the cruise ship was on. The package was still a very good deal even with the shuttle issues.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit NY. The room was clean, the bed was confortable and the AC worked well. Since it was 100 degrees, the Ac was a must. The coffee maker in our room didn’t work but coffee was complementary at the lobby in the morning. Breakfast was 10$ per person. The bus stop is literally in the hotel parking lot which is even more awesome! It will cost 4.50$ per person( exact cash) and the bus will take you to Port Authority.(Times Square). The only thing is that the first bus in the morning is at 9:30 on weekdays. So if you want to be in town early, it might not be the best place to stay. For us it was okay. We didn’t mind since we were back at the hotel around midnight. Even better, the bus driver will drop you off at the same bus stop ( hotel parking lot)late at night when you come back from town. Since the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood with offices it is safe to get back to the hotel late at night. Make sure you ask the front desk clerk to print you out a bus schedule for all the details.
You also need to know that the bus is the 167Q. Not the 167T. And when you buy your ticket at the terminal to come back at the hotel, select zone 3. And don’t be late. The buses at the terminal are on time and will not wait and extra minute at the door. We were there for 3 nights and took the bus at door 326. The ride is about 20 minutes to get to the hotel. For us, it was the perfect place to stay because we didn’t want to use our car. One thing we should have done though is to buy the 7day metro card for 34$.( we took single rides) This is definitely the best and cheapest way to get around the city so do not hesitate to buy this card. Si je retourne à NY, c’est certain que je retourne à cet hôtel parce que c’est propre, pas cher et parfait pour aller visiter NY en toute sécurité.

Felix and the rest of the staff in this hotel are great. Very hard to find hospitable employees in the hotel industry. Clean, quiet, and cozy place with above average food. The smaller menu makes it easy to select what you want and the cooking staff is honest and quick to let you know when things on the menu may not be available.

I arrived in New Jersey at approximately 11:00 PM. Apparently the hotel had been out of power since around 5 PM… Understandably, it is not the hotels fault they lost power. They were running on partial backup generators so did have the ability to use their computers. I don’t understand why I was not notified so that I could have made other arrangements prior to arrival. The gentleman at the front desk was very curt and offered no assistance or alternatives. Apparently some rooms had power but he Couldn’t check to see which rooms had power. (No one did a floor check to see wtf was going on in the 6 hours you didn’t have power?) he couldn’t offer a reverse of charges proof. No invoice could be emailed. Didn’t offer to check availability at another local Hilton. I understand that he had probably been getting it from all angles all evening… But his customer service was despicable! And then had the nerve to act like a victim when I got frustrated.

I stayed here over the weekend to visit some friends and family. I was came in saturday night and checked monday morning.
Lobby is clean. Had counter where you I'm assuming you can purchase drinks and snacks but it was mostly empty. Only has a bunch of sake drinks which I found weird. But no big deal. Check in was a breeze. Room was large and also clean. So being that the counter was empty I was a little concerned what breakfast would bring.
I was greeted by a nice woman named Erin. She explained to me how breakfast was done. I was shocked on how big this breakfast was! So many choices to choose from. Then on top of everything displayed you can also order omelets and french toast. Which were both delicious ( I couldn't choose dont judge!)
Erin and the cook (didnt get the gentleman's name) handled everything flawlessly. It seems to get a little busy but Erin just smiled and did her thing! I was honestly disappointed I didn't get to see her monday morning! Monday breakfast was complete 180. The gentleman working had zero personality and wasn't very welcoming. My omelet and french toast was just blah. No seasoning in the omlet. The potatoes on the buffet were fried sunday and MUSH monday morning. Again no seasoning on anything.
I guess you cant have it perfect both days.
Over all I'd definitely book again. I'll just get starbucks for breakfast on a Monday.

This hotel was one of the worst I have have ever stayed in. The waitstaff was incredibly rude, the rooms smell of cigarettes and the towels were dirty as well as my room door just flat-out breaking in the middle of the day and this was all just one day of staying here. The buffet is outrageously overpriced and the ice machine is broken 95% of the time. Overall just don’t stay here

This was right off of theTurnpike. You can be off the freeway and inside the hotel in minutes.

I had some valuable items in my car, and felt comfortable nothing would be taken in their well lit parking lot. Other hotels on my trip I would take my things onside the hotel or worry about the access from the street.

Once inside, Mr. Escobar was friendly and efficient. I was on the way to my room five minutes after walking in. He made sure to point out food options and made it clear he was available to answer any questions.

Leaving was just as efficient. In five minutes after leaving the elevator I had returned my key, left the parking lot and was on the turnpike continuing my trip.

The hotel is clean and our room was comfortable. There is a nice park to walk a short distance from the hotel and we felt safe walking there in the evening. The TV in our room did not work, nor did the coffee maker. The WIFI is not free, you have to pay. The 'pantry' snack prices are insane and the breakfast is $17 - basically continental.

Great location. Very convenient to airports, NYC and other places. Felix, the desk woker when we checked in, was the best. That's about all I can say that is good. The morning desk attendent, Diana, was rude, condenscending and totally unprofessional. The manager, Yvonne Chang, was just as bad. We were there for the funeral for may aunt: my wife and I stayed there, as did some cousins. We had a problem with food credit: there were two of us, and they only gave us one $10 voucher. When I discussed with Diana, she was indignant that I would even bring it up and refused to add another $10 voucher. I will admit when I made the reservation, I mistakenly only had 1 adult. But when this has happend on few ocassions in the past, they staff was always willing to add the extra voucher. I demanded a full refund since I was not satisfied, and that is when Diana called out the manager. She was very rude as well, but ultimately agreed to give me the $10 voucher after I again demanded a full refund. Will not be going back to this hotel ever again.
