My wife was recovering from surgery and we decided to stay at a hotel near my son's home for the 9 days. The front desk staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The Hotel is furnished in dark colors which adds to the feeling of oldness. The 1st night we had room service from the restaurant the food was very...

Based upon our tremendous experience from our twins' Bar/Bat Mitzvah in 2013, we decided to have our youngest daughter's Bat Mitzvah at the Grand Summit Hotel (10/22/16) as well. Once again, Michael Marino, Jimmy Thornton and the entire hotel staff came through for us. As anyone who throws a wedding or Bar Mitzvah knows, these are milestone events that are...

Dear Lawrence, Words cannot express how much we have enjoyed hosting your children's Bar and Bat Mitzvahs at the hotel. You and your family and friends are an absolute pleasure to serve, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have had the opportunity to host both events. I really loved when Mrs. Glickstein said "we will see you for the wedding"...

My wife and I love to visit this great historic hotel. The staff and service are wonderful, nice pool in the summer, close to NYC and walking distance to downtown Summit and many churches. Stayed in many different style rooms and all were great. The food and entertainment at the Hat Tavern located on site has always been perfect. We...

The Grand Summit is THE place to stay if you are in the Summit area. Great atmosphere and beautiful grounds. The parking is very accessible and the staff were very helpful and hospitable. There is no place quite like it. The breakfast there is the best I have had for a hotel breakfast. I will definitely return if I am...

Stayed at last minute and was very unhappy and uncomfortable. Loud party going on in party room, can hear loud conversations all night as people walk through first floor. The hotel if very very old and outdated, expensive for what it is and the room and bathroom smelled musty. I specifically said I did not want a handicapped room and...

My wife and I along with our 26 year old son went down to Summit recently for a family event and stayed in the Grand Summit Hotel. I have included specific details below, however to summarize it was a nicely styled older hotel and the staff and free breakfast buffet were nice. The major negative issue is the short double...

Great place. Rooms are small but quaint, which is expected in a historic building. The rooms with two beds have double beds which can be uncomfortable for a couple. The single bed rooms are queen-sized. The Hat Tavern offers a free first-class breakfast for guests. Excellent burgers and tapas in the evening.

Is is a lovely 'old' city hotel. Standard rooms are uniform and may seem small but are charming. Suites are all different which different amenities. I had a jr King which was a very large room and had a sofa bed. There was a nice sunroom attached. Very comfortable bed and pillows. I had a fridge but not all rooms...
