My friend and I came for the weekend for a convention that took place at the hotel. The staff was friendly and patient, the hotel is clean, updated and had some nice features- the outdoor space with the fire pit and fire place, the lobby/lounge, location and parking. I recently stayed at the Hanover Marriott for a 3 day convention that was also at the hotel. The staff was courteous, patient, and responsive. Key did not work and the gal at the desk 11/ 3 wouldn't replace it however instead of verifying who I was, she instead told me the name of the person whose name the room was in.So much for security. I have to admit. That I am a regular at this location. The place is well maintained. Always clean. The staff is always friendly and accommodating from check in to check out. Location is good if you want to go shopping at the outlet mall. The hotel keep up very well, service is good. Room is clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is a bit disappointing as the food is not very good and not much choice.

Not the best Marriott I've stayed in. Room had a broken toilet seat as well as a non-functional dead bolt on the door (room 555). TV was nice and offered integration with Netflix. Just finished my second stay this month at this property and it has become my preferred choice in the area. It has a good gym, great on-site restaurant, and is generally a sleek and busy hotel. Clean, modern and very comfortable hotel. Only oddity was lack of peephole in my door. Staff was cheerful and helpful. Convenient to Newark and local businesses. All in all no complaints from a seasoned traveler.
