We booked this motel for a girlfriend getaway.
On arrival we saw that it was an older motel. The suite itself was large and spacious with a nice kitchen. There were some issues however. The hotel phone in the bedroom didn’t work. There was only air conditioning in the kitchen /living area ( I was lucky this is where i slept) but it didn’t reach the bedroom sufficiently. Also the card room keys weren’t magnetized. Lastly, there was an issue with the door lock. My friend handled all of these issues and she told me a lady named Jackie handled all of the repairs kindly.
On my first full day) I was only there for three days) I went out to lunch. My car started making noises and was vibrating and I knew it needed to be tended to. I don’t know the area and I know some garages will rip you off so I went to the front desk for help for a reference for a car repair place. Admittedly I was upset and nervous because it was already around 3 pm and I didn’t want to lose my whole trip for an auto repair-i wanted to get it done the same day.
There was a lady before me at the front desk. I could see it could take awhile. Afterwards when the other guest was busy signing paperwork, I asked the front desk lady ( Mary) recommendations for a garage to get my car seen ASAP. Mary balked at me and told me I had to wait in the line. I told her I had an emergency, but she didn’t care. Mary proceeded to tell me that she was tired because my room kept calling down to her with repair requests for the room. Then another guy came back to sign a piece of paper and he started yelling at me too. After this, Mary told me that she flat out refuses to help me at all! She took the customers behind me and left me standing there with my broken car in the lot. She told me outright that she was sick of me and my friends and she would gladly give us our money back if we would find another hotel ( which I’m sure is near impossible in peak seasons). Frustrated and stuck, I left. My friend told me she later went down to the front desk. Later my friend recounted that while she was standing there, Mary proceeded to badmouth me and my friends to the other hotel guests waiting to be checked in. This behavior is never acceptable! In addition to finding a solution for my car I left a message with Wyndham Hotels about my poor experience at the Wildwood Hotel.
While I was sitting on the steps calling garage after auto garage, a maintenance man of some sort( an African American gentleman),
and Shirl, our chambermaid, both saw my distress and helplessness and did the best they could to refer me to auto body shops in the area.
In the end, a lady named Jackie, whom my friend liked a lot, helped with all of the repairs. And I finally got a place to get my car towed and fixed. However, we all avoided the front desk like a plague, and it wasn’t easy if we needed anything because that lady who treated me poorly was seemingly there everyday.
I was happy with the facilities and the location, but I have stayed at the Adventurer and The Bel Air in recent years and had good experiences in both.

The staff are amazing. The suite was stocked with dishes, toaster, pots/pans, cups and coffee machine. The place is old and rusty which was gross but the staff made up for it! The housekeeper came after only one night which was much appreicated.

The hotel is has beach front rooms which cost a lot more than the ones with partial views. They’re not worth the extra. There is a large car park, convention centre to one side and the the boardwalk between the hotel and beach. We went to Wildwoods after Labour Day so none of the rides were open and most of the boardwalk shops etc were closed. The room is in need of a renovation but it did have everything we needed.

Very poor service, the rooms are outdated, carpet torn, mold in the bathroom, very disappointing for the price despite the location, unheated pool and false advertising. I'm not going back or advising him. Not to be.

I recently stayed here and loved my entire stay! The location is top notch just steps from the beach and boardwalk. They have 2 pools and places to congregate and use the grills without hassle. The view from our room was very nice and we were on the highest floor so it made it extremely relaxing at night to overhear the ocean and observe the night sky. The property could use some updating but with salt air you can expect much of the few things we saw that need repaired. The worst part of our stay was the check-in process and not due to the staff! As my family and I waited to be checked in, a very irate woman was screaming at the front desk help and would not quit. I asked her to calm down after I could no longer take it and she snapped at me and my husband! The lady at the desk did her best to mediate but from I had seen of this woman there was no helping her. We witnessed her push another customer out of the way so she could act wildly about a vehicle issue. A woman behind me started to record the fiasco as the woman behind the desk was alone until we (the customers) chimed in. We stayed for multiple nights and the maid who cleaned our room was very personable and we even met the maintenance man who kept asking if we needed anything. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will be back in a few weeks!

The staff was one of the best parts for us and thank you to Mary for the coupons and laughter!

- E.

Shocked when I got the bill, at $414 a night, they quoted $329 over the phone to reserve the room. The bathrooms need a brush and a spray bottle of bleach, the cement is all broken up, lots of rust marks, utensils dirty, and no teaspoons or cooking utensils, only tablespoons. The pool has a lot of unattended little little kids, and blasting speakers. The management does nothing. The BBQ area, more loud music with competing speakers playing different songs cranked all the way up with people singing along. Managment did nothing, you have to call to complain. They let people smoke on the patio, so make sure you don't get room 215 as it's part of the smoking area. And the front desk, a couple of really nice ladies, but the lady who picks up the phone, mean, rude, nasty, will suggest you stay elsewhere if you vent any frustration about the place. It's a good location, but a rundown expensive 2 star. Don't understand why Wyndham lets them trash their name. For the money, stay elsewhere.

This place is definitely OVERPRICED for the condition of the hotel! The front desk staff and our cleaning lady were very nice and attentive. I did not want to complain too much to the nice staff at the front desk. The location was good and close to beach.
The hotel itself is somewhat rundown. One of our rooms was more rundown than other. I was going to call corporate and complain about the problems in rooms. First the light over the dining table broken. Maintenance came and tried to replace light bulb, but that wasn't the issue and it did not get fixed the entire 5 day stay. One of the beds had a large hole in center and caved toward middle. Two people trying to sleep in that bed kept being rolled toward the hole in middle while sleeping. They were not able to replace the mattress! Brought in an uncomfortable foldable cot. I feel we should be refunded some money for the serious inconvenience this caused our group. There was also a hole in the wall of the bedroom. Kitchen sink clogged. Maintenance was quick to remedy that thankfully. Room 2 the dead bold did not work. Since I packed another security door clasp I did not make a big deal over it but it NEEDS fixed. Also the suite was hot in the kitchen/dining/living area and the bedroom was adequately cooled. But no way to get the cool air into the rest of the suite. So you were freezing in bedroom and stifling hot in the rest of the suite. The website said Free Coffee & Breakfast Item. This was NOT available. No coffee or breakfast item. Our Trip was a GS Troop and this took us over budget. Overall it was way over priced for these uncomfortable conditions. I will be complaining to cooperate and hoping we can get some reimbursement for the misleading info on website and broken bed.

My family of 4 stayed at this hotel for a week. I needed to check in early as I had a wedding I needed to get to and they made sure to have my room ready first for me. Then that night when I got back to the hotel around midnight there were no parking spots left for my big vehicle, so Ron, the guy working the front dest, let me park in his spot. The customer service I received at this place was excellent. Housekeeping made sure we had fresh towels every morning and our trash was taken care of.

The room itself was nice. You walk in to a decent sized living room with a full refrigerator, microwave, a little stove and a sink. The bath was a little small but that could be said about most hotels. The bedroom was nice and the beds were comfortable. It is also nice that they have two pools as they can fill up fast. The location is great as well as its a little bit away from all the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk but also not too far away so it is easily walkable. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Very close to the boardwalk! Room was exactly as advertised. We had a handicapped family member staying with us and the room we rented was perfect for allowing him to move around freely. The only issue we had during our stay was finding consistent parking in the lot. Luckily, there was a “pay per hour” parking lot right across the street which we used.

The hotel itself was clean inside the rooms. They were spacious and not bad. We had a double beds room and it had a sleeper sofa as well.

There was a raccoon that was on the steps when we came off the elevator on level 4 that chased after us. They ended up having to call animal control but they couldn’t find it once they got there.

Our only other issue is this was booked for Friday -Monday and they did not honor the price of the confirmation, even though one day was already paid. We were forced to either pay another 155+ or check out a day earlier than expected. It was a huge inconvenience. The hotel staff was not willing to budge and the manager Jackie only offered a discounted rate but would not honor the price paid for and confirmed through the booking site.

We do plan to seek a lawyer as after talking to several people that this also happened too this weekend there, we feel like it was a bait and switch type situation between the companies. So my advice is beware of what you paid for and confirmed and what your being told to pay at hotel.

Hi FellowTraveler, We were as shocked as you were to find a raccoon had made it's way up there! Luckily he never made it inside anywhere and found his way out on his own! Unfortunately, our partners at the Wildwoods Convention Center accidentally posted the rate for a Sunday night stay with us as $0 which was a mistake. After we noticed the error, we did contact them to alert them of a few guests who were affected by this. We are glad we were able to offer you a complimentary late check out to make up for the inconvenience of this unfortunate mistake.

Good Morning, Our two bedroom suites are located furthest from the ocean, at the opposite corner of our property. Although, they do not necessarily have an amazing view of the ocean, they do over look one of our two outdoor heated pools, which offer southern exposure, that places you in the sun for the greater part of the day. These rooms are also the most spacious and offer you assigned parking for up to two vehicles
