We stayed at the rest camp for one night. Cabin with view of the falls, the cabins are quite large, well equipped beds are comfortable, and the restaurant is okay, but you can also braai or cook. The views are awesome and form the cabin you walk down to the falls with an easy well marked path. We liked the...

We thought the chalets were well set up. For two couples we had a double bedroom en suite and a twin room with a separate bathroom. The lounge/dining/kitchen had everything we needed for an over night stop. We were 11 people in three chalets and we able to eat together with no problems and plenty of room.

Spacious, well equipped and clean. However, the warm water in the shower had hardly any pressure at all. To get any useful quantity of water out of the shower head, you have to open the cold tap a lot, with a resulting cold shower, as the hot water pressure is simply too low. Not nice on a cool May morning....

We booked one of the double bed chalets with a view for three nights and were very pleased with the one we were allocated. Facilities both at the chalet and at the reception were good. The walkways to the falls were very well maintained and the views are spectacular, even though the river was quite low at this time of...

If you love nature and enjoy the rough and rugged then this is for you. Throughout South Africa the National Parks are well maintained and even when the buildings are old the units were revamped to a high standard. The huts are air-conditioned and very comfortable. The best treat is the view and the lookout points along the river bank....

We had two chalets with views of the gorge. The park is very well-kept and the boardwalks along the gorge offer spectacular views. The units were clean and well-equipped. A very good experience for our fist time in Augrabies and we will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed the camping grounds as well as the chalets. Camped for 6 nights and spent 2 nights in the chalets. Really great. Camping - definitely take elastic ropes with to clamp food containers/crates closed, as well as cooler boxes & freezers. The monkeys are very clever and all over the place. Bathroom facilities I feel could enjoy more attention...

The rest camp and chalets are very close to the falls viewpoints and some of the chalets have a small view of the gorge. The chalets are quite attractive, very well designed (in terms of cooking space, dish washing space, eating area and sleeping area. The bathrooms are quite spacious and ours had an excellent shower. There is a patio...

The camp itself is unremarkable apart from the obvious proximity to the falls and lookouts. The units are reasonable; nothing special. Not enough water in the gorge to make it spectacular but lots of interesting things to watch around and about from unique lizards to klipspringers. A few nights is long enough.

Augrabies campsite was nothing out of the ordinary, but did the job. These are large grassy areas, however we had to put our tents up on the gravel (?). The ablutions were clean, as was the swimming pool.
