We were a little apprehensive at first but within a couple hours simply loved the place. Thank you Malcolm for making us feel at home but also leaving us to our own devices. This is rustic and quiet among orchards. It was really hard for us to pack up and leave after 3 days.

We stopped over at the backpackers before heading into the park. We received a warm welcome on an especially cold winter's night. The kitchen is well equipped with the basics which is great for those who like to self cater. Rooms and bathrooms basic but clean.

It's a nice big property but the house seems to be left for what it is since a couple of years. The room was cold but luckily we found a heater that we could borrow. The crockery in the kitchen was dirty as was the room but it was okay for a nights sleep. It's a backpackers with a lot...

Thank you to Malcolm for the warm welcome. The backpackers is not very fancy, but was clean, neat and comfortable. We used a shared shower/bathroom, which again was clean. There is a small braai area, and we enjoyed a game of pool. A good place to stop over, but don't expect 5 star accommodation. The hospitality is the highlight of...

We arrived after dark here and were warmly welcomed by Malcolm. He is the most friendly host and can give you great tips on the area. It is situated Off the road, cosy with a fireplace and Nice sanitary, good equipped kitchen! Only 10 km from Augrabies NP! We enjoyed a holiday feeling on the bamboo swingchair, eating breakfast with...

Never spent the night there but popped in for and early morning Hot Air Balloon trip with Andrew. What an awesome guy. Always talkative and great fun, added to that he knows his stuff in the balloon. Thanks Andrew and crew for a great morning, we really enjoyed it.

If you want to rough it, this place will tick that box. For us, 3x over 50's, it was more spartan than most of the YH/backpackers I have previously stayed in. The legs on one of the beds were loose, which made me very anxious so our lightest companion took the bed. They were rock hard and we were so,...

We stayed in the Backpackers for two nights and were the only guests due to travelling very off season. It was very nice and lovely. Malcom was very helpful and the rate was good. For a Hostel it was okay regarding the tidiness. There is games, books, a tv and a big braai in the garden. The dogs and cats...

As a lone traveller and straped for cash traveler this place is paradise. Amongst the orange trees, birds and a bubbling channel you will find this little hide away. Self catering with shared bathroom and bedrooms. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Great for groups, a bit lonely for solo travellers. Would highly recommend this as a place if want to travel...
