My husband and I were on our first anniversary trip to SA, and we stayed in the Garden House. It was cold and wet outside, but that didn't make a difference to our trip thanks to Annette and Barry. We had a drink by their fire every night, and had a good chat while playing with Benjie and Marmaduke. Annette's...

We went to The Garden House because of the good reviews on TA. Even before we arrived, we were already happy with our choice. Annette sent us some tips about the area including a list of local restaurants so we knew a little bit about the area. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Barry & Annette and Benji the...

I can not more agree with what everyone has written before me: we are absolutely delighted by the beautiful, tasteful and comfortable room ( and wonderfully comfy queen-sized bed with good mattress and duvet!) and the overwhelming hospitality of our hosts. One of the highlights of our trip and all tips received for activities for the day just added to...

We absolutely loved our stay here. Annette and Barry, their dog benji and the 3 cats were all very welcoming. They looked after all our needs and made sure we didn't miss out on the best franschoek has to offer which meant we couldn't fail to ave a great time!

We stayed with Annette and Barry for a few nights in mid-August. They greeted us with open arms, ensured that we were familiarized with the place and had coffee/tea/wine/cookies in hand within the first ten minutes. We were immediately familiarized with the rest of the family: Benjie the dog, and his three feline friends. During the winter months they do...

We stayed at The Garden House for two nights in the first week of August. It is wintertime in Franschhoek and things are quiet and a bit more relaxed. Annette and Barry were the perfect hosts for our visit. They had great suggestions for dinners and wineries. Our room was perfect and cozy after a long day of wine tasting...

My husband and I stayed at the Garden House for two nights during a chilly, rainy stint in Franschhoek. The garden house was the perfect cozy spot to relax and enjoy the charming town/ winery stops, and of course (as all reviewers have said), Annette & Barry are wonderful hosts. They make you feel welcomed and comfortable, and they go...

My husband and I spend a weekend at the Garden House for our first anniversary, and our stay couldn't have been better. The Garden cottage is a quaint, relaxing and completely renovated - the perfect spot for a couple. I doubt you can get a better accomodation in Franschhoek for such an affordable price. The hosts, Annette and Barry, couldn't...
